I've had two laptops, both HP. I will never EVER own another one. I went back to a desktop and this time I got a Dell. It's less than a year old so I really can't say it's better or worse, but I do like it. My suggestion would be to visit the following website and search the chat boards for each of the models you're considering. Take a look at the problems being reported and see if there's a clear winner.

from my point of view Dell is better than Hp. Dell is one of the world's best brand. Everyone will choose Dell without any question or doubt. And it means that Hp is bad,it is also good.And both have its own disadvantages and advantages. happy mylotting!!!!

I have a HP and I am happy with it. It is hard to judge by mark. Every one had a good or a bad serios of laptops. You should rather compare different configurations.

Im also a user of Dell.. 1st i buy a HP Pavilion.. but the features does satisfied me... after some month i heard about DELL.. some one told me that i can buy a Lappy what ever configuration i want in my Lappy... i ask them about it.. and they said the same thing... i order them with my config... paid them.... and they send me my Very Personal Lappy... Dell's Battery Back Up... Nothing to say.. its really good... Go for Dell....

I prefer HP than Dell, because of the decoration of HP look prettier than Dell. and I think Hp is not heating like Dell computer.

In india, HP has a good service and more service centers than DELL. DELL has a good configuration and looks and priced right. so if you want a good looking powerful laptop, go for dell. If you need fast service an support go for HP. I would buy DELL, as it gives most for the money i spend and computer parts are less likely to fail.

I am an Indian , and here in India Dell provides a good after sale service which is also very important while making choice of brand. My choice is DELL for this reason.

I know HP Laptop more than Dell. I have used HP Laptop.In HP, it has every thing you need. Laptops quality depend upon their ranks and price. Dell is to be considered at top for its technology over the last decays. Every one will suggest you to have the dell laptop. In my opinion both are good and they have no disadvantages.
