I cant seem to stop my cats from jumping onto the counter in my kitchen and its driving me crazy. I dont have a door or anything on the kitchen so its easy for them to get into the kitchen. I generally dont hear them jumping onto the counter, but I hear their paws hitting the floor when they land. How can I prevent them from getting onto the counter?

The easiest way to do this is to get a water pistol or something else that shoots water. Everytime you catch them on the counter, squirt them thoroughly in the face until they jump down. Cats are smart, and eventually they will get the message that they aren't supposed to be up there. They will stop jumping on the counter.

Hi Bcote
Usually when that happen, you can use a spray bottle fill it with water, try to catch them doing it and spray them with the water. I don't know why they like doing that. Let me know if that helps.
