Okay, I have found my Christmas gift, this is what I want Snuggie (blanket with sleeves)..It has been advertised on television. It can be used in different ways.
When I am sitting working on my computer I get a little chill so I get my large terry cloth bath robe and put it on backwards. Then I saw this on the television and I decided this is what I want.
It can be used at outdoor ball games to keep you and the children warm.
Have you seen the advertisement?
What do you think of this blanket with sleeves?

Wow I love it. I'd love to have one of those for our cold winter nights while knitting or watching the news!!!

Ooh, I'd like one of those. I'm always cold, and in this weather I can never manage to get warm enough. Sometimes I'm wearing lots of jumpers and the heating's on but I'm still freezing! So I often end up wrapping myself in a duvet, which isn't always practical.
So yes, I think it's a good idea for when you're sitting or lying down. I haven't seen the advert, but maybe it's just shown in the US.

honestly i think it looks ridiculous but it probably works really well lol. when i get cold sometimes i put a sweater on backwards so my chest stays warm (thats what they tell you if you go overboard on a ship right? curl up so your chest stays warm...makes sense).
i think it would work well..i just dont know if i would wear it iin public :), but in your own house, i think its a great idea.

This is a wonderful idea and I'd love it also simply because my room is the coldest room in the house and coincidentally the one I spend the most time in. Go figure! This would definitely save me trying to stay covered up with a blanket especially if I have to get up frequently.

I have not seen them on TV, but have heard the commercials. It sounds very much like a product that was popular in the seventies. I had one and loved it. Some of them you could either snap or zip across the bottom so that you could get up and walk in them as well. I think I tried making them for my kids once. I always felt like mine was a sleeping bag I could walk in. It would be perfect for computing. I used mine a lot when nursing my babies.

I think its silly - its a backwards robe but looks much too long to be able to move around and do things. I'd rather wear my housecoat, slippers and if im still cold put a blanket over myself. Its always my back thats cold anyways not my front and it wouldnt be covered very well with an open back.
A friend of mine made a bunch for people in her family this year but i dont know how well they went over.

I did see the commercial and thought that I would not want one as it would not keep your back warm.. It is a good idea except for that.. But if you add a back to it, then you have a bathrobe and we all have bathrobes, so I don't think that I will be buying one of those..

Well when I watched the commercials (how could I avoid it, they are on ALL THE TIME), it seemed to me that this was just, well, a ROBE that they didn't bother to sew in the back. Seems like you could just buy a robe to keep yourself warm, or do what I do and wear a sweatshirt. That way you could walk around in it and still be warm.

I've never seen it on TV myself but by the way you describe it, you make me want one for myself too. I use my pink housecoat to keep warm when I'm around the house, which is most of the time.
That would be good for me because I can use it anywhere my heart desires. I would look really silly wearing my BIG pink housecoat outside at a ball game or anywhere else. OK Miracle, let's not make a fool of yourself. I'll try not too.
