I think knowing how to write straight english could help you improve your speaking and reading. That's what happened to me. English is not our native language so we need to learn it in school. I thought by just being fluent in speaking the language could make me an english student but not really. I learned and improved when I started to do writing. Of course, I read English books to help me know if I write the right way. But I am not saying that my style is the best option, another thing maybe true to you. You need to try what works for you.

All the three are most important.... but we must make as an order.
1. Reading
2. Writing
3. Speaking.

You must decide which you want to do most. Do you want to speak most of the time? Like if your profession has to do lots with speaking, then yes you need to practice conversing with as many people as possible in English. If it has got to do lots with formal writimg then you must read as much as possible native English writing so that you pick up not only good vocabulary but some good style too. But to become a good writer you need to write on subjects of your choice, and read and re-read them to see how they sound. It is like that appreciative look that a painter would give his painting to see if it needs any touches, to make it arresting.

In my opinion listening is the most important thing. Reasons are:
(1)through listening we can imitate speaking
(2)before we communicate with others we must listen and understand what they say
(3)think about ourselves, when we began to speak native language we have listened them for a long time

well, thank you for the interest in wanting to learn english. i suggest you learn reading english , and after you are done with reading. i am so sure you will be able to speak because , the first weeks might be heard but you will get used. and then you can go for writing because that is the easiest part of english. you even learnt it when you are doing the reading part.

I think listening and receiving the English language are important to learning the language, as with any language. Continue to speak, read and write in addition to listening. I have heard that English is not an easy language to learn, but it will come with practice. Good Luck to you!
