i am just wondering how many of my fellow mylotters would prefer receiving gift certificate for a gift or would want to get a gift itself, either bought from the store or personally made? please share what are your thoughts on this and why did you prefer it over the other. have a great weekend!!!

Gift certificate for me. That way there is no danger of an ugly sweater that I'll never wear

Well, when it comes to gift, I would be happy if I can receive one. I am not expecting to receive a gift from a friend or anybody so that I will not be disappointed. But if somebody would ask me now, what would I preferred either cash gift or gift certificates? hahaha I would go for both. But if somebody would give me a real gift, surprise? well, I would be glad to accept too. Anyway, it is given what ever it is.

that's true friend, if we don't like to be disappointed it would be better not to expect. but if we receive one then i know a big smile will be given out of appreciation. thanks for posting. :)

for me, gift certificate so that i could buy whatever i like with that gift. because sometimes, people give something that i dont need, so i might not be able to use that item. so i would rather receive a gift certificate rather than a gift. but receiving something from someone especially this christmas is already a big things for me no matter what it is because for me its the thought that counts.

that is true friend, it is the thought that counts indeed. after all Christmas reminds us that God gave us His only Son Jesus Christ to save us all from sins. thanks for the post!!!

A well-thought of gift or a hand-made one would both be great! If we know the person a lot, it would be easier to find the right gift for him/her. But if we don't know thim/her that well and we have no idea what he/she might need or like, a gift certificate is a practical gift.

I would rather have the gift certificate. This way I can go to the store and get the stuff I want, and I don't have to worry about taking back the stuff that may not fit or whatever...
