Do you have good neighbors? Are you going to give them something this Christmas?
I will be giving some food and small gifts to the children of some of our neighbors. I am lucky to have good neighbors. It's only my budget that will constrain me from giving gifts to all of them..

I think i will be giving them cake too... and some coins for the kids... i was able to save a lot of 10 and 5 peso coins... so instead of candy... they can just buy what they want at the sari sari store...
I can't give them gifts because that is out of my budget... so food will just do for now...

I cannot afford to give them money for there are many kids in are place. That would be too much for me. . Instead of giving them candies (which is becoming expensive too), I just cook popcorn mixed with nuts, some mallows or chocolates and place them in a colored cellophane. In that way, I can also save much.

I have a couple of really nice neighbors. We do not really exchange gifts, but I always give them a goodie basket of my home made cookies and fudge. They love getting these every year. She makes wonderful home made breads and we get a variety of her goodies. The kids usually come over to visit with me and get a cookie for stopping by. They are good kids and I enjoy them coming over.
We also try to get together for the holidays for a drink or lunch. Sometimes this will happen after New Years if we are all too busy. It is nice to get together with them as we really do not see each other often except to wave in our passing. It is a shame that we live so close but are too busy to visit. Every year we always say that we need to change this, maybe next year.

Home made cookies and fudge are great gifts for your neighbors. Just put them in a nice container and wrap them with a colored paper, then that's it. I'm sure your neighbors will like it.

Why are you not celebrating Christmas? Is it because of your religion? or what? Anyway, i'm glad you have good neighbors.

Although I do have some great neighbors and appreciate them I will not be giving gifts to my neighbors. It is really not that common where I live to do so.

it's always nice to give gifts as a way o9f saying thank you to those who have helped us in many different ways. Good deed are worth rewarding.

If I have the means why not? Some of our neighbors are close to me. So it is not really that hard and frustrating to give some or little present for them. They will surely appreciate it.

Yeah, it's always the budget that constrain us from giving gifts to our friends, neightbors and relatives. God bless.
