Which is the best windows os ?

I have to agree with you. Windows XP is the best operating system from Microsoft Corporation. It's the most stable and highly compatible with most applications available. It's also easy to use because most peripherals won't be having a hard time with their drivers because Windows XP will do it for them. Yeah you're right, Windows XP can run even on not so powerful computers like Pentium 3. I even used Windows XP on my Intel Celeron before and it went smooth. No problems whatsoever.

I too prefer windows Xp but for programmers I prefer LINUX it has more options to get programming which plays an important as it is a open source evry thing can be seen using LINUX and XP as a friendly user.

hello there... just like you said, i think windows xp is the ultimate OS ever produced by microsoft... of course windows vista appeal more because of it's new GUI, AERO effects, trimmed down taskbar and many more... but in order for this to work, you must have at least 1GB of RAM... windows xp doesn't require that much memory anyway... i hope windows 7 will be the next big thing after windows xp but let's hope they don't do the same mistake as they did to windows vista...

I feel windows xp is the best because it supports all major softwares and games run best in windows xp but even windows xp has sone minor bugs so i prefer windows 2000 proffectional it has good stablity but for people who are intrested in programming can opt linux red hat linux is the best in it's kind and more over it has several options that windows xp has
