This night I had to wake up at 1.00 A.M.

Sometimes I wake to strange noises. House creaking, leaves in the wind, a random noisy car on the street. Sometimes, I have to actually go see what made the noise and cannot fall back to sleep until I know what it was.

Sometimes if rain gets heavy it will wake me up. Lately though i have become a light sleeper so anything wakes me up.

In my state yeah since we live away from town we hear alot of noises animals, when it is windy the tin flapping and others things hitting the side of the house.

When there is a storm, the strong wind hitting the mango tree beside our bedroom would wake me up. I'd normally stand up from my bed to look and see if every window is secured. But even if I return in my head, sleeping would be hard for me during a stormy night so I would pray to ask for God's comfort and protection. After praying, I'd rest everything in His hand and there and then would I only fall asleep again.

No, I don't do like that. But, one day, woke up with a strange noise, coz, one of my friends pour water on me when I was in a deep sleep......

At night it seems that noise carries and you can hear everything! Which is not good news if you are a light sleeper or find it difficult to get off to sleep in the first place, once I had a pesky mouse in my bedroom and everytime the light went out it would come out and start sniffing around looking for food and it would be scratching and I would hear it, so I would get out of bed turn the light on and it would scurry off! It drove me cuckoo, I would lie in wait knowing that damn mouse would be out again, in the end I put a humane trap down and caught him, I still listened out in case he had any family with him!

I do wake up in the middle of the night too, when it's raining especially when there's thunder.. when the thunder comes, it's so loud that it will wake me up instantly.. PLus, it's always the case of multiple thunder and i will be able to see them from my windows.. haha ^_^ I'm not scare of it, but rather it's too noisy that it's affecting my sleep.. haha

I am a very light sleeper, and often wake on the hour or even half-hour. I listen to the radio, but still doze in and out of sleep until morning. Unfortunately, when thieves broke into two cars in our driveway a few months ago, that didn't wake me! I would have loved to have been in time to scare the thieves away.

Hi ronaldinu, At that time of the night, i am still downstaires mylotting and the only time I get working up by some strange noise is my husband snoring. Tamara

Hey ronaldinu~Yes, I have been awakened by a strange noise on occasion. And alot of times it is something to do with the wind. There is something mysterious about the wind! It can create quite the havoc when it is allowed to breathe it's deepest breaths! We have some loose gutters outside my window and a few times they have really loosened up and banged against the side of the building creating quite a scary sound! I think they have finally been fixed! I hope so! I kind of like the sound the wind makes on those snowy nights when it whistles and you know that the snow is whipping all around! Until the morning comes and you have over a foot of snow to trapse in!

Yes l wake up in the night often, we live in the country and so there are many things that visit our home during the night.

Hi ronaldinu I was woken once at about 3am by the sound of my smoke alarm but as I was half asleep and not feeling too well I wasn't sure what it was straight away. When I did realise what it was I was able to disarm it but not before I ran around the house to make sure there was nothing untoward. My kids slept through it all even though the alarm is situated outside their bedroom door!!

I haven't ever wake up in middle night with a strange noise, but i wake up because my big sister singing

it did happen to me recently.i heard a loud thud and i woke up,but i couldnt see anything or anybody.i felt foolish later on.it was rather uncanny.i was alone in my room.

I do and if hubby is at home I wake him up to sort it out, if I am on my own with the children I just hide under the covers

I do. The other night I was even mad knowing that there are so pathetic neighbors who has nothing to do except to shout at each others' face at the very wee hours at night. Both couple were drunk after coming from somewhere perhaps a party and come home shouting and throw each other, something I don't know what. I wanted to call the police but something stopped me, I decided if they would do same thing, I would press charges, without hesitation. Good heavens !
