Who should open in the 2011 WC for India?????

Sehwag - Gambhir combination has become one of the most dangerous pair in the world cricket now. Sehwag is a proven customer while Gambhir is starting to score runs everywhere and him finishing as the highest run getter in the CB series and in the series against Australia is a prime example of a guy who can score runs against the top teams in both formats of the game. Sachin is surely going to play the 2011 WC and Dhoni has said he prefers Sachin to open. So will it be fair to break the settled pairing of Viru and Gauti and open with Viru and Sachin. your views?????//

tendulkar and sehwag have opened more innings than gambir and sehwag .i think that sehwag and gambir should open the innings because they are a well settled pair and they can change the game that doesnt mean that tendulkar is not the good player .he is a good player but we dont know at which time he may out of the game and at which time he may in so it all depends on his fittness.so in my opinon sehwag and gambir should open the innings

It's really dangerous openings that we get to our team. Sehwag and Gambhir are suitable for that opeings.

It depends on the current form of the player on or around 2009. We cannot say anything about that. Gambhir and Sehwag are in good form at the moment. . But we cannot for sure Say that they will definitely be in the same form at 2009 too. I will surely not make a mistake by choosing someone right now, as I never know in what form they are going to be at that time. For example, even though if Gambhir or Sehwag or Sachin consistently show poor performance, just before the world cup 2011, none of them I will choose. So I think its too early to say with whom should India open their innings in the world cup 2011 which is a very long way to go.
