How many of you have actually watched the movie and read the book as well? Which do you think was better? The story written? Or the movie? In my opinion, the best part of the show was when James was hunting for Bella. It was so totally full of action and not to mention fast-paced.

I love the baseball scene, especially that they used Muse's Supermassiveblackhole for it. :D
I read all the books long time ago. I saw the movie last week, few days after premiere. It was okay but really cheesy.
Yeap, the flow of scenes on James' hunt was pretty cool!

Haha! Yeah she is. She keeps using Muse's songs for the soundtrack too.

I think I like the movie better. The movie itself was so darn dramatic (although I do like it, but I wish it wasn't so overly *stares* and *music*), but the book, it was just too much for me, especially towards the end, I couldn't take the dialogue between edward and bella. My favorite parts would probable be the interactions between the two during the two biology class scenes. I also loved the soundtrack to the baseball scene.

My favourite part of the movie was also the baseball scene. It's amazing the way they played it though i didn't really like the part where Rosalie glared at Bella.

I've read the books, and I watched the movie. I thought it was a fun movie to watch. I mean, its not going to get any awards for acting or whatever, but it was entertaining enough that I enjoyed my two hours inside the movie theater.
I have to admit I did go in with low expectations, considering that movies based on books, don't usually turn out the way I want. Still, I feel the movie try to stick with the book plot, but made changes that is necessary for a film format. It's actually funny how some poignant scenes in the book came out slightly humorous on the film, but I'm fine with that.
I dragged a friend who has not read the books, and when the movie was over she love the film, and I have to accompany her to the bookstore to grab the book. So, I guess..the movie has its own charm.
I still prefer the books over the movie, because there are so many details you can get from a book that is virtually impossible to express on film.

I have no doubts there that the books are way better than the movie itself. But still the movie was not as bad as i would have imagined it. I heard that new moon would be in the making soon and could be released by the end of 2009 or the early 2010.

I absolutely love the books just as much. I watched the movie before I read the books so the movie was definitely not a let down. I just wished it lasted longer. Hope that you like the movie just as well.

I didn't like the books..turns out when you say that to people who love the books, they want to kill you.
:O
and I saw the movie with some friends, cos they asked me to, the only scenes I liked were the Baseball scene and the fighting scene.
The rest was uninteresting and bland, to me..

The movie for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix kind of brought it's reputation down. And not some of the details in the books are changed, there are quite a number actually. Many people seem to be comparing Harry Potter to Twilight. But to me I feel that Twilight is a much bigger hit in not only the cinemas but also at the bookstores at my place.

I have seen the Twilight movies and have read all of the books in the Twilight Saga, as well. Although I completely adored the movie, I'd have to say that I liked the books better. Books can just elaborate more and give a better sense of the characters, whereas movies tend to have a time limit and are unable to capture the essence of the characters quite the way a book can. My favorite parts of the movie were Edward's awkwardness. It made the movie very comical and lightened the mood. I also loved the part where the Cullens are making dinner for Bella and Rosalie asks, "Is she even Italian?" and Emmett replies, "Her name's Bella." It made me laugh. :)
The first time I saw the movie, I was very critical of it because it didn't exactly follow the book; however, when I saw it the second time I really enjoyed it. I can't wait for New Moon!!

i have watched it...the movie has many flaws and those who have read the book say that the movie is lacking...but the saving grace of the movie is the production design...the cinematography is ok...and the casting is fantastic...kristin stuart is bella..and robert pattinson gives justice to the character of the charmingvampire edward cullen...he has such a strong impact on the screen that he could send daniel radcliffe aka harry potter rushing back to hogworth alone!overall the movie is simple entertaining and a real treat to a stressful day..go!watch it!...i just notice that those who dont like the movie are guys...hehehe....it's appealing to the female viewers..thanks to the unusual charm of the british actoe robert pattinson!
