Have You Tried Counting The Stars?

Ever had a knack in counting those glittery and sparkling little jewels in the sky when you were young? And finding out that you can fail from doing so. Nevertheless, we all had our moments with the galaxy one way or the other. Most of us when we were kids, we tend to lay down on a plain green grass and gaze upon the sky. Then thinking of counting those shimmery twinkling stars up the dark painted huge ceiling of the earth. Oh how I loved those moments when we were really attempting to get the actual number of stars on a particular night. Only to find out that we really can't do it. Although, that's the real beauty of being young. It seems like the world is ahead of you like the stars are far from your ground.

I still like to look and appreciate the sky at night now that I am a grown up. I find them very mysterious and very calmly. Once, our teacher ask us no draw a figure using the stars as guide. It's like the "connect the dots" game and I never tried to count the stars since I know I can't but I did try before to find as many constellations as I can and I found out that we cannot see them all always and we must have a very good imagination to figure out the constellation.

When I was a child, I used to count the twinkling star in the summer evening. The breezy wind and the sky with dotted stars impressed me. Now , I seldom to do like this. What I can do is to watch the star through the window, and the stars are not bright .

Me and my sisters use to do this all the time when we were kids until our neighbor lied to us and said if we continue to count the stars that they would start to fall into our eyes and we would go blind i can't beleive we fell for that.

I'm sure I probably did as a child! My husband is an astronomy buff and we still enjoy going outdoors and stargazing at night. We even stood in line three hours in the middle of the night at a local observatory a few years ago when Mars was close to the earth. I wasn't so thrilled, but he was, so we waited. I actually did fall asleep standing up in line. He still teases me about that.

when i was younger i used to love the night sky and i used to sit there for hours counting the stars, i'd have to give up in the obviously lol, but i would count them for hours straight even in the freezing cold. i am still a fan of the night sky its just amazing how all them stars twinkle in the night.

Useless attempt to count on a star, when my sky is full of it. I just sit and see and enjoying the magnificent of it. making comments on how great the world is and making even deep thought about everything else behind. but never count on that star. I dont even try to find a constellation. it will just ruining the whole beauty of the star itself

I don't count stars..I admire them for their vastness and individuality--like snowflakes. Gazing at the stars in the winter is the best, I think.
