I have misplaced my TV remote control.. I hate when I do this I can not remember where I put it. When this happens I will tear up the house looking for it. I do not and will not tolerate having to get up out of my chair and change the TV or turn it off.
I have lost remote controls or they would no longer work and I had to go and by a universal remote control.
How do you handle losing a remote control?
Do you buy another?
Or do you just settle for changing or cutting off the television manually?

If I can not find a remote, I always ask the kids where it is at. They always have it and know where it is at. Yes, I have three kids who all think they have to have control of the remote and will hide it from each other.

Oooo, I get so irritated when I lose a remote or it breaks. I've tried one of those universal remotes as a replacement but there's always a function found on the original remote that is not offered on it. I've even tried to contact the manufacturer about a replacement, but that's just a big headache.

a remote control? lol if the remote contol went missing in our house, i would have to ask ' which remote?' lol there are 4 remotes in the living room, two in the bedroom, unless you count the one for the air conditioner lol. as for me, i would just get up and change the channel, turn off the tv, etc. my s/o is the one that would tear up the living room looking for the remote.

I do misplace my remote control many times and I try to find it until I can. I usually just buy a new remote control only if my precious one is damaged for sure. If it is just lost i tell my whole family to search for it until it is found cause I don't wanna watch TV without remote. Getting up feels so lazy, besides TV is for relaxing not for getting up and running to the TV every time.

I would opt to buy another one because it would be annoying trying to zap from one channel to another manually. © ronaldinu 2008

My mom always does this!! Sometimes she would leave it inside her drawer or in the bathroom sink or some really weird place! Thankfully we haven't lost a remote control yet. It would suck if that happened, but buying a replacement shouldn't be a problem right?

Oh no I'm not with that getting up and changing TVs and thangs, something gonna have to give. I would have to go and buy me another one before I get up and change even one channel with my finger.
I couldn't stand going one day manually changing channels and turning the volume up and down.
That's what remote controls are for right? So we won't have to do it ourselves. Who feels like getting up from a very comfortable position just to fool around with the TV?
NOT I.

Hi Chevee. I don't have that problem. My remote is always on the coffee table. When I'm don't watching TV at night, I put it in a little box I have with all my remotes. If I did lose it, I have a back up. I'm sure it will show up. It must be there somewhere. lol.

I opened the TV then I looked for the remote. I personally dont lost the remote control, sometimes it accidentally hid under the throw pillows so I just have to search in a specific area which is the couch and there I find the remote control. The TV area is not messy but we have lots of throw pillows so the pillow is the culprit!

No I always look till I find it and it's never too hard. For some reason they get lost inside the couch or between the cushions. The couch is always the answer in this house.

I have both the remote that came with the television set and a universal remote. It seems as though my girls can never remember where they left the remote, sometimes it just magically disappears

I don't watch TV until it's found. Everyone in the house has to help in the search. I can't live without my remote.
