Anti-Vrius Software

i like to use avast. it is very good especially if you could update it frequently. try to use this it can catch all your virus and clean your system.

I personally don't like Avast, but that's just personal taste, some people love it. My recommendation, if you want to keep your PC really clean, is to get AVG (Switch to Avast if you like it better) Then get Addaware and Spybot-Search & Destroy. These three babies will keep your PC as clean as a whistle. At least I haven't had to reformat because of viruses in years thanks to them. Rich

Hi Blondie, what you heard about Norton is partly true. Yes it does slow your Computer down quite a bit and it gives decent protection against viruses. However if your looking for an anti-virus program which is very good and also free of cost, then you have quite a few choices. Let me list out a few good anti-virus programs which have proven to be very effective and are free of cost. -- Avira AntiVir Personal Edition (Has the best detection rate and its what I use) -- Avast! Home Edition (Second best detection rate) -- AVG Free Edition

if you are telling the free antivirus then AVG Will be the best. But i will not recommend you to choose a free antivirus. As most features are disabled in free version
