In spite of the fuel increase, sky rocketing prices on commodities, there are still small and great things we can be thankful for. There are still good reasons I believe to enjoy and celebrate Christmas as we counted things that comes this year.
Mine would include wonderful people we have met along the way (in spite the fact that my bestfriend has passed away), I was grateful that I still have my job (I am nearly been fired), cherishing families and good old friends, receiving a surprise gift from my dearest, and above all having a life that I enjoyed even at its ups and downs.
As we light up our lights this Holiday season may we say a word of "thanks" to those who touches our lives one way or another.
What about you dear friends what are things you are grateful this 2008 ?

This year means a lot to me. I got married and had a kid. First I want to thank God for giving me my very loving and responsible husband. I love him so much and he loves me so much too. We now have a kid, 2 and a half months old and he is very handsome. I want to thank Him because I am still able to support the studies of my sister who is now in her third year in college, one more year to go and she will then graduate. I am grateful because I had the best cellphone this year. The one I've always been dreaming of. I am grateful because we are still surviving despite the fact that I am not working and my husband shoulders all the expenses. It is because of the fact that there's no one to take care of my son. And lastly I am grateful because I have learned a lot of things in this life and until now I am motivated enough to enjoy life, make other people happy and serve the purpose God has given me. Thank you to all the people to became part of my life and to my lot, thanks even if I haven't earned $10 yet haha!

I am grateful to the people around me - my friends and family members - who have been very supportive towards me as they have always been and this is the first time since 2005 that I get to see how does a check look in respect of my online works. Once we thought otherwise. I am glad as if I be successful - I can help my friends as well to generate some extra revenue from their online work. This is the year - the 2008 - when I have really located the path to alternative online earning though to claim it as a 'success formula' - it will take few more years.

that we still have our home and we are not in foreclosure even though we are really struggling to keep our heads above water. we are getting by by being very resourceful and cutting back on everything and i do mean everything. no vacations, no charging on credit cards, transferring balances on credit cards to 0% interest cards, shopping at dollar stores and aldis for groceries, getting things on freecycle, cancelling our landline phone and just using our cell phones. and on and on. so i am grateful for all we are able to hold onto.

In spite of the challenges we've been through, there are still lots of things to be thankful for:
- I'm grateful for the life that my family and i still have..
- Thankful for all the blessings I've received
- Being able to smile despite of the trials i've been through
- Being a blessing to other people
space isn't enough to write them all down.. but I really thank God for the good and and not-so-good things happened in my life..

There are so many things that happened this year in which I am very grateful for. Those things make me stay being happy. Those are the things that keeps me going and will keep me going even on those years to come. For all those things, I will be forever grateful to our God for giving me a wonderful chance to live in this world.
I am so grateful of the people around me. The people who shared with me love, care and concern. The people that taught me how to deal with every aspect of my life. They are my family, friends, relatives, teachers, students, and classmates. They help me to give a positive outlook in life. They make life enjoyable.
I am also grateful that God is still blessing my relationship with my boyfriend.Despite the problems that comes along the way we are still going stronger. We are so far yet we have hearts that are so close with each other.
I am very thankful also that I successfully graduated from college this year. Aside from that God heard my prayers to pass the board examination for teachers. It really made me jump for joy because I had reap what I had sown.
I can say that I am grateful for everything that happened to me this year of 2008. I am also thankful for those experiences I gained. Weather good or bad, those experiences help me to grow toward God. It made me even more stronger person compared to the person I was before.

What would I be grateful? Hmmm..during the first few months of the year I was very happy because I have a very good job, a nice family and a boyfriend, then suddenly, it turns upside down. Very sad and I am very upset, but I am trying to recover. Maybe, once I got a job again and earning the same, and proven to myself that I can still get up, everything will turn okay.

I would be grateful if my husband were to keep his job after the holidays. I'm tired of playing the game where he's on unemployment. It's no picnic.

I am really grateful for everything I have achieved this year, and for those who helped me along the way.
I give thanks that each day of this year I have had something to feel grateful for, even on those days when nothing seemed to go right.
Most of all I am thankful to be alive, and to have joy in being alive.

Yes my friend we have a lot of things to be thankful despire the financial crisis we have around. I think we just have to count our blessings in order to have a thankful heart. These are the the things I have always been grateful about not only for the year 2008 but all throughout the years I've been alive.
1. I'm grateful for the free gift of salvation I received from Jesus when I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior.
2. I am thankful for God has given me a wonderful family...with a loving, wonderful husband and a bright and obedient son.
3. I am thankful because I have a good job and so does my husband.
4. I am thankful because we have sent our only child to a good school and he successfully finished his course this year and is now starting his own career.
5. I am thanking because God blessed us with a new car this new.
6. I am thankful because God has given us all the provision to complete the furnishing of our our new house.
7. I am thankful because God has given me and my whole family a perfect state of health for the entire year and by His grace all through out our lives.
8. I am thankful because I belong to Bible beleiving Church that teaches the truth and hence I am not blindly following a tradition but following God.
9. I am thankful because I have a lot of good friends who are friends in the real sense of the word.
10. I am thankful because God restored the health of my once bed-ridden mother who is back to her bed at the age of 82.
11. I am thankful becasue I have a very good relationship with my siblings and mom.
12. I am thankful for God gifted me with two wonderful twin grandchildren who are adding sunshine to my every day.
I'd stop here my friend although I have so many wonderful things more to thank for. I could talk the whole day about the many things I should be thankful about. But as of now I think I just have to finish this post in just one sentence...."God is indeed good and worth being thanked and praised all the days of my life."
God bless!

Well this year was really a blast for me. lol. 3 jobs in a year, my partner getting an operation, her mother getting an operation too, no money saved. is there anything this year that i should be thankful?
well being able to eat 3 or more times a day is still a blessing that i should be thankful to. being able to spend my time with my family and partner is another. yes, simple things in life are the things i'm thankful this year. they made me realize that small things can really make a big difference when you feel like the world is crumbling down on you. have a good day torchablazed:)

I feel I'm grateful to be alive. I work with a man who's daughter passed away a couple months ago in a car accident. She was only 2 years older than I. She had a little girl and was a single mom just like me. I really took her passing to heart. It woke me up and made me realize that I can't let my problems get me down because atleast I get the opportunity to wake up every morning to the smiling faces of my two children and know that I'm here to see them grow up and to try and make their childhood as wonderful as my parents tried to make mine. I'm grateful to have them and my parents in my life. Along with all my other family. I have friends that I can lean on when I need them. What more could I ask for?

Therw is much for me to be grateful this year for me. As with any year that goes by, I have a loving and healthy family. But this year in paticular, I am more grateful than years past to be employed. My company just went through layoffs and though I was assured that I was safe, it was very unsetttling. My job provides an income that let's my wife and children lead a comfortable life and full health benefits. It also gives me means to provide a roof over our heads and food on the table. I have a few friends and colleagues that are less fortunate so this year there will be a holiday get together at my house where everyone can enjoy each others company and feast to their hearts content without stress.

Despite of the fact that life isnt perfect at all, and that in everyday of every year, lots of great and bad things happened, I think I should still be thankful for everything - having my family who loves me, friends who really cares, a job that will help towards my plans, and a husband who loves and supports me all the way.. But most of all things that i should be thankful for, is that GOD give me and my love ones, another year to live in this world.

Wow this could be long. 2008 was a very eventful year for me! I graduated high school which means I started my first semester of college (which I have finals for next week). I turned 18 in October so I'm grateful for another year of life and the brand new Toshiba laptop my dad bought me. I moved in with my boyfriend over the summer since we're going to university together and I'm thankful that my parents love him! Being away for college makes me appreciate my home more whenever I go back. I'm so thankful for my parents for supporting me in my decisions.

Well, despite all these problems around us, we have to be grateful for everything around us. Personally this year wasn't a really good year since I passed lots of different problems everyday. However I am happy to pass christmas with my family and child and I am really grateful that we are together, for me is the most important.
However There are lots of families who are really sad when christmas arrives, like those who lost a loved person at this time of year or who are sick and cannot enjoy the festives. However I tell them that there are people who cares what you feel and that you have to make courage for you and your families.
