Have you ever felt like you are always there for your friends but they aren't

there for you? I can think of only a handful of times that I told any of my friends "No" to their requests. From babysitting their children to borrowing money - I always say yes....then, when i was moving my family to the other side of the state....no one would help us. I mean no one! - no family, no friends - my family didn't want me to move, so they wouldn't help, my friends, just had other things more important to do I guess - but no one offered.....how would this make you feel?

That would be terrible! But it sounds to me like they just REALLY don't want you to go... maybe this is their way of making you stay where you are! I've had friends like that before and still have a few now, It only shows that you understand what a true friend is..but they haven't got a clue. Fair weather friends are a dime a dozen, but friends like you, are rare :)

I have about 3 friends that truly always come through for me. The rest... well, I guess it depends on what is in it for them or if they have nothing better to do. I hate to say that, but it is so true.... I had an abusive ex and I took out an epo on him and had to move my stuff out. I called my ex boyfriend, who I am now back with, he came up with his truck to move all of my furniture. He best friend, another ex of mine, skipped a class to help us move the heaviest stuff and my best friend Jessica let me stay with her for a month. Then me and Kevin, the guy with the truck reconciled our differences and got back together. I found out who my true friends were that day. Kevin is always there for me when I need him, no matter what I need or how much needs to be moved.. he's there, no questions asked. Jessica is too... ready to help do whatever is needed if she can at all. Matt comes if he don't have to work or something, which I understand. My other best friend though... I always try to help her... hell I make an effort to call her once a week sometimes more and sometimes it feels like she's not even making an effort to talk to me. It's like picking up the telephone is too much effort for her to exert.
