How much did you buy on Black Friday?

I know this is late, but I'm still curious! On Black Friday I woke up at 6 and went to the mall with my mom and 2 younger sisters! I bought so many clothes since a lot of stores had extra 30% off on things. I probably spent $200. Which is a lot for me.. I never spend that much. I had saved money just for this occasion. It's hard being a college student and wanting to eat all the time. HAHA.

I am proud to say that I didn't buy one thing on "Black Friday"!!! I am extremely claustrophobic so I don't do crowds very well and it isn't the kind of thing that I participate in. Also, I have found that even with some of the discounts it doesn't cover the fuel it would take me to drive the amount of miles to town to participate in the sales...and then too by the time I got there the items that I would want would probably be sold out anyhow.
The biggest thing for me is the crowd factor. I just thought that I was getting crabby and impatient. Then after some detective work I found out that it was actually claustrophobia that was caused by my older brother and some of the horrible things he did to me when I was a child. Anyhow, I don't do the "Black Friday" sales, and even when I did work retail for many years I didn't go after the sale items simply because I didn't want to fight the people to get what was offered. In a way it sounds unAmerican, but it just doesn't work for me.

Hello venonas,
I woke up at 5 a.m this morning and went to Target meet my friends there and bought some kitchen stuff , and after there we went to old navy and spent 200 dollars there and i guess i saved almost %40 of retail price, It was fun :)

I bought nothing. I wish I had enough patience to shop on black Friday. I love to find good deals and save money..... but I hate standing in line. It's much more enjoyable for me when 2 million other people aren't there. My friends and family always tell me all the great things they bought at really good prices and I become jealous, but I know if I went with them, I'd probably be grouchy and regret going. Maybe I'll try it again next year.
