don't you think so? Now that Manny Pacquiao won the match, he just proved the whole world that he is a great "KINGKONG" as what his opponent called him. Many thought that the match is a mismatch. Many believed that Dela Hoya has big advantages over Pacquiao, but the Philippine's champ has now proved that he is indeed the best boxer of all time and the pound for pound king of the generation. The fight is taken over by Pacquiao starting from the first round up to the eight round. His fast moving skills outplayed the 1992 olympic champion. They say before that maybe the age does matter, and after the game, they thought that maybe it did matter. Although the fight that Dela Hoya showed to us is not like the way we were expecting it -- a champion like punches, a well planned strategy and all that.. in the end, we took his word for saying that he will not go further to 5th round but see who's had a black eye now? this post is pro-pacquiao since I am a very proud Filipino so I have the right to brag about Pacman CONGRATS TO THE MIGHTY CHAMP!

hahaha!we actually watched it on pay-per-view. Pacman was really good! When the match started I was really nervous, but after the first round I was so sure he'd defeat De la Hoya. And kudos to Freddie Roach as well, I heard he gave Pacman a really tough training. They'd beat his torso with a stick while he was doing crunches. Not only was Pacman younger but he was also in better shape than the golden boy. De la Hoya's body was kinda flabby compared to Pacman's body. I didn't even see De la Hoya throw serious punches. That 7th round will definitely haunt him for the rest of his life!hahaha What a way to retire! Embarrass yourself in front of the whole world.

Round 7 is classic. Who would have thought that Oscar dela Hoya would have to go through such brutality from the hands of the smaller fighter he has fought against. He's flabby alright which made me think how come he weighed in at only 145lbs and Manny Pacquiao at 142lbs when he's supposed to be gaining weight. Las Vegas Mafia style.

true! He's a taller and his reach is longer than Pacman but he lost! I was waiting for his left straight the whole time. Didnt see it fly.

I was waiting for his KO at round 8 but it seems to me like, well just my personal opinion, at the back of the minds of the people there from cornermen, referee and Manny Pacquiao included, they were preserving a legend by not giving him the physical KO.

Before the Dream Match i was like "should i check the results online?" which is way ahead than GMA7. There are lots of comments that Manny Pacquiao will go down at round 3. I said what the heck, i'm so excited and to my surprise, Manny was leading the fight and when i saw it on tv, Oscar dela Hoya was badly beaten. It definitely is a nightmare for Oscar dela Hoya and i'm pretty sure it will haunt him for years. I'm proud Filipino too so congrats to Manny Pacquiao! The best boxer of our generation.

Same here. I even skipped my bath just to watch the fight and read some articles online. Would you believe, most boxing websites now are down maybe because of too much traffic of it takes time to update because there will be lots of articles to write about hehe.. Manny's even the headline in Yahoo!

I really salute Manny Pacquiao for winning it all. That was an easier fight I guess compared to his other fights. It seems to me that Oscar didn't prepare much for their boxing fight. The lesson there is that size doesn't matter. What matters most is the strength and proper tactics.

Its the most awaited fight ever, most of my colleagues are pro- Dela Hoya since they thought he does have a lot of advantage than Manny. I am confident with Manny ever since the match with Dela Hoya. Truly, what he displayed on the ring was such a great site for every Filipino for that matter, He did make a History and we are all proud of him, I am proud of the GREAT CHAMP ! Cheers !

ODLH should've had a graceful exit if he opted not to do that fight. But well, he earned a lot from that so there's really not much to lose. Only the fame and glory..LOL.
