I encouraged my friends who have pc's at home to learn how to troubleshoot simple computer problems. This is to be able to conduct simple diagnostic for simple errors. How about you? Do you it is advisable that every PC user should know a simple troubleshooting? What do you think? Please share your ideas. Thanks!

I think that it's good for a pc user to know as much as they can about their pc. I am into computer repair and maintenance myself and I mess around with my own pc, go inside it and so forth. I love this subject and I get a real thrill carrying out my own maintenance! It is my intention to build a pc from scratch! Andrew

Buying a PC is similar to buying a car, the owner should know how to deal with simple faults rather than relying on someone else to do the job. Troubleshooting can be an annoying task especially when you are using trial & error method. If you are a complete idiot to PC troubleshooting, he might ended up messing up the mess. I believe one should at least learn how to do backups of their data. At the end of the day, you can usually restore (software) your PC by format and reinstall windows. All that you need is to restore your data from a safe storage and leave the rest to the professionals.
