Do you use your pants instead of tissues and wipes?

I just finished one bar of creamy choc'late and wiped my fingers on my jeans. It's not that I do this always but now that I am at home with my mom not there and I am happy bossing around, I am doing my mind. I am typing with the right hand and the left hand still sticky with the cream... and here I go rubbing again. It's quite handy actually, with no tissues or wipes around our clothes can do multitasking, isn't it!
So, guys, do you find yourself sneaky, wiping your hands on clothes after eating dry?
Happy doing your mind.

Ever use the bottom of your shirt to blow your nose, or use the sleeve to wipe it?*LOL*
I do catch myself wiping my hands on my shirt or jeans when I am cooking, but for the most part, I go wash them in the sink when they need to be cleaned.

I am not someone who does this a lot, but I am definitely guilty of it from time to time! I am one of those people though that can make a heck of a mess even when having a glass of water. lol. My wife and I will go and eat out for example and she will have one napkin sitting there untouched for the whole meal and then just use it for a quick dab of the mouth when she's done. Then you look across the table to me..... I have a pile of used napkins of such a great height that it blocks her view of the rest of the food court! And for sure I will also have food on me that I didn't even eat in the first place!

I have a habit of wiping my hands on my pants all the time. I just don't reach out for towels and just wipe on my pants.

If my hands are a little wet from water or some other drink, I'll usually wipe them on my pants (after waving them in the air a bit so they're sort of dry). I don't like doing that with food (especially chocolate! ). It's quite easy to run to the bathroom and grab some toilet paper or find a tissue box in a nearby room, why get chocolate marks on my pants? I wear those! =|

Wet hands and no handkerchief in my pocket and it is only on my trousers then. But this is not how it was when i was a kid, it would be food marks on the t shirts ,on the trousers, on the table cloth sides, the curtains and even the side of the bedsheets. My mom would go bombastic on me and i would get a dressing down for a good 10 minutes on the need to wash and wipe my hands properly with a towel.
I guess all that drilling down has had its effect now.

ll...Mimpi...that's so cute when you happen to be my friend:)
I don't do it and it drives me crazy when my son does it!! And I'm always yelling at him not to do it.
The only exception is after I've washed my hands and I can't find a towel, I MIGHT rub my hands on my clothes.

Well.. it depends what it is. IF its something dry yes I do wipe my hands on my pants. If its something mushy or dirty or gross I don't. At work I usually have an apron on so I always wipe my hands on that. Usually its just mocha powder or chai syrup I get spilled on me. Usually nothing too gross.

Yeah I do it once in a while mostly because I'm too lazy to get up and grab one, or that I don't have any. Lately I have tons of tissues around me, lol. Comes with having a child now :)

I am still having Toblerone, you wana have?
You know what, today, my mom wasn't at home and i did bit of cooking and all through i wiped my hands on my jeans. and then while mylotting I rubbed my chocolatey fingers! Then, after all this mess, I realised we do have something called apron to save us from that! But it was too late.
How was your day?

Can I please have a toblerone.
Its ok that you didn't use the apron, because you have fun wiping it with your jeans, .
My day was fine, I'm bit lazy to do some cooking today, so we went out for lunch and just have snacks for dinner, lol.
How's your day? Hope you feeling better now.

Although I haven't done that for years, I remember doing it before meeting my husband. Now I always make sure I have a napkin before I start to eat anything. My husband is one of those anal people that always needs to be clean. In fact, before he met me, he didn't use his hands to eat anything. He always had a fork and knife. I always thought it was weird when people ate their french fries with a fork and knife. I got him to relax and use his hands a little & he got me to be a little cleaner. I guess you could say we compliment each other.

And you will have to wash that dreaded jeans later.Or imagine ants being attracted to the chocolaty flavour;in fact the brighter chances are of those creatures on clothes[ those that are repelled by mothballs ]
I feel bad when I wipe my wet[just water and not anything else] finger on my nightie or saree pallu while cooking because the sides of my saree or nightie get dirty and I hate the look of them later. But whilecooking, I ll keep washing my hand every now and then with clean water. If I don't keep my towel handy I tend to do it if it si needed immediately...Otherwise I try not to.But if I am about to sit in front of my comp I would first wipe my hand and then sit to type.

Seriously, I know this is not right but I do it once in a while only. I am quite particular otherwise.

Where we live there are places called dollar stores and in one of them I recently found an item that was invented by a mom, several of whose products I have tried and liked even at regular price. But one of her inventions makes it unnecessary to use one's pants as a napkin, because it is an ingeniously designed plastic canister containing a clever little spray bottle and nicely folded little tough paper wipes.
I keep this by my computer and if anyone or anything gunky comes near, I go spray spray, wipe wipe and my work area is clean again. Oh, pooh, I am so fastidious that I do not eat at the computer, even though my keyboard sits below a glass tabletop even while I am typing, so in theory I could put food on there and it wouldn't drop in and gunk up the keys.
Anyway, the bottles of spray and wipes were going for $1 USD at the dollar store, so I bought what for me will probably be a lifetime supply, as I fully intend to refill them over and over with my own liquid cleaner and my own wipes. That way I can go on being fastidious without spending any money.

Cool! I think there are similar stuffs here as well. If only I could get over my laziness.
And dear, how do you type with that meticulous setting of keyboard?

I don't like to do that. In fact, I don't like that anybody in my home should ever do that. If I get my hands sticky, my first point always is wash basin where I wash my hands thoroughly and wipe them with towel, then only I do any other work. This habit of mine has been inculcated since my childhood.

Hehehe I am guilty of this little quirk as well. There is also a joke about this in sms quotes that college students define "uniform" as "something to wipe you hands with". hehehe ITs definitely true though especially during recitations and palms get sweaty. To distract from being nervous wiping hands on the sides of the pants is the norm. But it has been a habit and whenever I need to dust my fingers or something I dont brush it off with the other hand anymore, I just wipe it on my pants.LOL!
Happy New Year!

Hi Mimpi, does your question apply only to pants?.....Then my answer is a big NO because I never wear pants at home........
Ok I must confess I do not make a habit of wiping my messy hands on my clothes..But once in while,If I feel that if wiping hands on my clothes will not leave any stains, and will save be the bother of washing them, then I indulge in such luxury.......but definitely not in front of my kids......For they will definitely catch me for not practicing what I preach!!!!!

LOL, sweet question. Yes, if whatever is on my hands is dry and not sticky or going to leave an obvious stain, I will wipe my hands on my pants if they are jeans or something dark colored.
