Of late I have seen more of people trying to make money in mylot and the discussion is more of how to make more money. I am not telling it is wrong, but what about Charity. I have not seen many people discussing about charities. I do not have any special charity institution, but everyday I put some money for old and destitute woman who used to beg near my house. In fact every morning when I go for my jogging I carry a few loose change and try to give it atleast two old, destitute or handicapped woman. How about you?

I do charity regularly. It is my way of giving back my blessings. I am blessed with a very good job and very good family and it is just right to give back what I received however I don't give alms. I'd rather give my money to charitable institutions because I do not agree with the practices of street people.

Thanks for the response chobits, yes I agree the practices of street people are not good, that is why I give alms for the very old and/or handicapped woman (preferably ) and it is good that you give your money to charitable institutions.Keep it up.

"Charity begins at home." That's what i do. I help my relatives first before other people. I have a cousin who has a heart problem and couldnt work for his family. I send him money regularly just for him to be able to buy his medicines. I know it is not enough, but atleast I send regularly.
My cousin and I are now planning to put up a business so he doesnt have to work outside, that way, he can earn even at home.
I also help my sister and her family. I just sent some money for her to sign up for a course. I am not giving her the fish. I am teaching her to fish. She needs to finish the couse so she can have the chance to come here in the United States to work.
I also help my aunt who is now very sick . Though i dont send her money regularly because her borther helps he, but anything she asks me I make it a point to give it to her.

That is wonderful, whether charity starts at home or outside, it does not matter, the only point is helping out others when they are in dire need. At the same time we have also got to think of the destitute old men and woman who always need our help. Cheers.

I am not asking people to donate on line, but to donate to somebody in need, after starting this discussion, there was a link about a stay home mum trying to get gifts for her three children, there are many like that in the real world. We have to help people like this.
