what is your first personal computer spec?

my PC specs are: celeron 1.2Ghz processor, 128 Mb ram 80Gb hard disk and a color monitor, i think 15inch.. i know this specs are pretty outdated..but i like my PC very much...i just love it and am happy that i can do my day to day normal work... thanks happy mylotting..

mine is pentium4 ,256mb ram, 80gb hard disk with d.v.d writer . i assembled it few years before so its giving good response till yet with not even single problem. i just added one 512mb ram.

My first computer had 1kB of RAM and no disks at all (it used an audio tape deck to store and load programs and a normal black and white TV to display the 'graphics'). My first PC had 512kB of RAM and 2 5.25" floppy drives. As far as I recall, a 5.25" floppy disk held 256kB of data and one was needed for the operating system and whatever program you wanted to load (in the A: drive) and the other (in the B: drive was where you stored data. To this day, if you have a floppy drive at all, it's called the A: drive (and can be used as B: as well) and the hard disk (which in those days was very much an 'extra') was - and still is - called C:. My second PC had a hard disk. By then we had reached the maximum 640kB RAM that DOS could address and, I seem to recall, an enormous 20 MEGA bytes of hard disk. I can't remember if I had Windows and 256 colours by then or not.

I don't know if you consider this a personal computer. Coz my first personal computer is an Apple 2e. A 1.5 floppy drive. The OS is onboard. Monochrome green monitor. No mouse. Softwares are wordstar and lotus 123. I can play games like the first generations of Ultima, lode runner, tron, prince of persia.

The first computer I had was a home computer, the Oric 1. It had 48k of RAM and no hard disk. Users had to use a cassette recorder to run programs and save files. My first personal computer was a 586 with 32Mb RAM and 2Gb hard disk. I used it for work and playing games.
