What can you say for the changing of faith of the Western and Asian countries?

It's like a new generation now, where the western people are starting to believe in the Asian beliefs and religions, whereas the Asians (i'm Asian myself) are starting to let loose of their own faith, and rather starting to pick up the western religions and beliefs.
For example, Buddhism is currently the fastest growing religion is Australia, whereas Christianity is the fastest growing religion in many of the Asian countries.
What is your opinion about why is this trend happening? Also, please enlighten us about what is happening in your very own country.

People tend to always want to try new things, just like you might want to visit other places apart from where you grew up,or ride other brands of reigning car apart from the one you presently use,a westerner would like to learn an Asian language while an asian would like to speak that of te western.I think it's just a common trait of humans and that explains all.
