Taking care of a pet according to studies, teaches a child how to be responsible because you have to feed it,bathe it,play with it and love it.Some couples without kids even treat them as family.I think having pets really do help people who are lonely especially if they treat them as family or they dont have anyone else.Taking care of pets could be a hobby,or something to keep you busy bu it takes patience, you need to have time and to be responsibility.

I believe that pets add a little something to life. They don't see the negativity and the stress in every day life like we do. They provide comfort and the knowledge that we can provide for atleast our pet *lol* even if we can't always take care of ourselves the way we want to. I think it is especially important that children be raised with pets - it teaches a responsibility that they won't learn anywhere else. Having grown up on a farm I can't imagine life without pets :)
