There's always that one gift that I really want and over the years it's 50-50 that someone will get it for me. So in the past few years, I will usually treat myself to my own Christmas gift. I've been lucky in that no one has bought the same gift that I had already bought.
Have you felt the need to buy your own wanted gift or do you just treat yourself to something that you feel that you deserve?

There is one year my mom asked me what I wanted and I wanted Microsoft Word for my computer. She said she would get it, but apparently it was too much. Unfortunately, she didn’t say when she found out, she just didn’t buy it. I really wanted it and kind of needed it for work, so I ended up buying myself. I found a cheap combination in a different package, so I didn’t have to purchase the expensive Office package. That is honestly the only time I really wanted to have something and ended up buying it myself.

In this pressing times, I doubt it if someone will us a gift that we really want. When people give us gifts it is always what we need or how useful it will be for us. My husband gave me what I want on our anniversary as my gift. This christmas I don't think I need to ask for more.
