Christmas shopping... as good as last year?

So far I am pretty sure that it is going to be about the same if not a little better than last year. With gas prices down and a few other prices falling it has freed up a little extra. We also got a bigger christmas bonus at work this year. No one was expecting it to be more but we were very happy that it was.

Even without the global economic crisis looming over our horizon, our finances in the family have been unstable and in danger for quite some time; mainly due to the substantial amount of monetary obligations with various individuals, credit card companies, and loan agencies. In fact, we're still in the process of paying off the outstanding balances with them. Aside from this, I'm afraid that by next year I will be displaced from my current employment because the company is presently in the process of dissolution. Although my spouse and I have separate jobs as of this moment, his job is quite unstable and he doesn't acquire additional benefits from it. Also, he gets a pay which is less than the minimum wage here in our country. So as early as now, I have no other choice but to double my efforts to earn as much as I could while I still have a job. It will absolutely be a lot of help if I could be successful in earning online. Further, I guess we have to lessen all costs including expenses for the coming holiday season. I still don't have a computer at present but my spouse and I have plans of purchasing a computer set just before our daughter starts schooling. Hopefully when this happens, I could still earn even if I'm at home while taking care of our only child. Happy holidays!
