hi friend, hot dog is a western food which is enjoyed by Americans the most and i believe an average american eats 60 hot dogs in a year. hot dogs also became the standard cuisine for baseball games. it is nothing related to dogs. its just a name. it is made of a blend of pork, beef, chicken or turkey, meat fat, a cereal filler which could be either bread crumbs, flour, oatmeal, a little bit of egg white . with this pepper, nutmeg, grounded mustard, salt , onion, garlic and some herbs are also added. this is the stuffing . this is saqueezed into the hot dog casing mould. home made hot dogs are made of natural animal intestine.
it is very popular in americans as it is inexpensive , vry easy to make tasty to eat.

This made me laugh! It is not a dog. It is a sausage-like product made of either pork, beef, chicken, turkey, or a various combination of meats. Usually made from parts that can not be used in any other way. They're gross to think about but delicious to eat! I used to love them when I was a child! I do not eat meat anymore, but occasionally I get a vegetarian substitute called 'smart dogs'. Hope this has answered your question!
