Do you keep your desk neat?

Not me, I have such a messy desk. Actually it isn't messy, just cluttered. I have so much junk on it. The phone is on my desk, all the kid's school papers, our rented movies. Things that we don't want lost, like bills or cards end up on my desk. Hubby's desk is just as bad, only his is actually messy. He has dishes and soda cans all over his desk. I clean it off every day, but by the end of the day it's messy again. I'll admit, some of the mess on his desk is from me. Since there's no room on my desk for dishes or soda cans, I'll put it on his desk momentarily until I get up to put it in the sink. What's on your desk? Is it neat and tidy, or cluttered and messy?

its really nice to see a clean desk. my desk is messy too and the difference is that it always remains so even after my work. i think of cleaning it but never actually do so and it continues to remain so until someone takes care of it... my assistants in office and my wife at home.

Not me, too. I had just ten minutes ago remarked to a colleague of mine that my janitor has tried to rearrange my table and has put it in order, making difficult for me find my most important papers. I am comfortable leaving my desk in a mess because even then I can trace out a paper that I need. Of course, some one else might find it difficult. In short, as far as I am concerned I am comfortable with my messy table, whether at home or in office. For one thing my seniority has reduced the papers on my desk.

When my mom was alive, her boss would sit at her desk for an hour at lunch time, to give her a break. Every day he's reorganize her desk, and every day she'd yell at him that now she can't find anything. It was really funny.

I haven't got a desk just now, but when I do it normally looks like a bomb site. Neither my partner or I are particularly good at putting things away and any flat surface very quickly becomes the resting place of any piece of paper that doesn't have a home.

not only my desk my complete room is a big mess. i don't like to clean my room . according to me it is such a waste of time as i will make it a mess very quickly after i arranged it.t is a natural habit now lol. some times someone frrom try to clean my room then i will be very mad. only i know where i put my things. i keep sometimes most important papers under my bed. lately my mom cleaned the room and she threw all my papers. i have told her not to clean my room again . she was very angry with me. i know error is in my side,.

I keep my desk at work nice and messy. People bother me less if it looks like I'm busy! :D My desk at home, well I have no excuses for that one. My desk at home is a worktop (not wooden) and I tend to write on it with dry wipe pens when I'm working things out instead of using paper. It's like my whole desk is a whiteboard. I know, sad. But try it! Save some trees and look like a complete geek...

At last someone like me! I am sick of all these neat freaks whose floor you can eat up of, he have clean shelves with no books or knick nacs on them, who do not have clothes in their closets but stacks neat in piles in the dressers. Well I am in between, but I have my printer stock piled with books, my how to write books on one side of my monitor, my notepad, my cellphone cord, pen and pencil holder, hole puncher, and other things/ I do not put food or coffee cups on my desk though.

Some people would call my desk messy and cluttered. They are wrong because I have everything where I want them. Cheers!!

I give it my best shot. However my desk is in our living room. So often it becomes a catch all for others stuff. Especially, tv remotes and keys. Now that our roomate has moved we will have more space, and some reorganizing will be getting done. SO hopefully it won't be too messy for much longer.

Mine is very cluttered. It's all important stuff but it is in no way organized. I also keep all of my art supplies there. There's a few nick nacks. My purse because the desk is by the door. Paid bills that need to be filed. Magazines. all our computer needs except the laptop. That usually stays on or near the sofa. Very cluttered.

My desk is definitely not neat and tidy. It is a mess. I have papers all over it. When I leave my job at the end of the day. I normally just gather everything and stack it in one pile. Maybe the end of this month I will go through and get rid of everything I do not need so that I will not have to take deal with it the first part of the year.

My husband desk is messy sometimes, he drink his soda while doing some things in the computer, paying bills in the computer to be exact and doing his banking online. When he finished doing all things and time for me to use his desk i should clean it first before using it and every now and then i arranged papers and put it in the filing cabinet and every weekend is my schedule to wipe and polish it.

When I start working, my desk is super messy. The one you can imagine when a tornado passed by. I make sure everything is within my reach: water bottle, coffee mug, office supplies, the phone. Just everything. But the good thing about it is that, at the end of the day, when work is done, I make sure I keep my desk clean and orderly. So the next day I start my work again, I have another set of mess to deal with.

Usually, when I start working on a project or something of importance, I clean up my desk first, that way I don't get distracted by the mess and work more efficiently. These days, I'm rather lazy, so my desk is cluttered with all kinds of junk. Every once in a while I'll do a major overhaul of my computer area so that stuff I need constantly is within reach and stuff I rarely use is put in a drawer, sold, given or thrown away.

Mine is neat really, I have a corner desk and it has a phone, scanner thing for surveys, a few fav knick-knacks on the wooden stand that my husband built me to put the monitor on. I had him build a shelf for my CD/radio player. I have all the bills and anything important as I handle all that stuff too. I also have a 4 in 1 printer, but that is on the shelf of my desk. All papers are normally filed so they are out of the way. Bills that are due are put in a calander with it being written on the day it is due. I do have a small pile of recipes that I got or made up that was a hit that I still have to print up and put in my binder. Yeah maybe my kids are right.. I can be a little bit of a neat freak! I also keep my hubbys/kids desk and computer in order, I just see how they can play let alone work on it when it is a mess!

Hello, katsmeow1213. My desk is fairly neat, but it is not completely clean. I try not to put paper in it, but when I do I put it below something so it looks like the papers are organized. The problem with my desk is not that it is messy, but yes that it is too small. There is no space for anything in here! The things that are here are organized, but the desk is so small that it may look messy. When in fact it is clean. Before, it used to get all messy with my brother home, he used to put glasses and other things in here. But now, that I am the only user of the desk, it is clean. :D Respectfully, Munhozmib.

Oh goodness, you would have to ask this. I can be a very organized person about some things, and I do like to keep a neat desk, but it just doesn't happen. I tidy it up one day, file papers, stack things neatly, but then the mail will come, or I'll be making notes from something I see on the internet, will copy down a crochet pattern I've found, etc, and it's all over - until the next time.

my desk is neat but cluttered. i have alot going on and many piles but it is all neat and organized. i cannot work any other way. i make sure to keep it current and know where everything is. my husband comes and sits at my desk a couple of times per week and within minutes he has made a mess of things.

My desk is neat. I feel uncomfortable if there are too many things on desk. If I have to put them on it temporarily, then soon I will move them away and put them into some cabinets. I think mess will influence my mood, I easily become angry and fidgety. So, I have to make them out of my vision.
