i am just curious how my fellow mylotters choose the topics that they would like to make comments or post. do you comment to any topic that you see or your friends made for the sake of posting or commenting or do you choose those that would be helpful to you and you have personal experiences to share with? i go for the 2nd one, i comment on those topics that i have my own personal experiences and share it with others. how about you? which one are you?

Other than discussions that I see in my email that friends started, I generally do what I am doing now, I go to New Discussions and I read what's there. If I have something to say then I respond. If not, I pass and go on to the next topic.

Since I am new here and do not have friends on this site, I choose topics based on my interest and if I have anything to say about it.
Topics that are boring to me I generally try to stay away from, topics that I have no knowledge about I don't comment on, and topics that ask for opinions or examples that I find too personal for me to reveal I also do not comment on.
I love answering advise topics because helping others out of a jam makes me feel better and makes me feel useful.

For a start I do not have the notify for all my friends turned on. However for those I do, when the email comes I read through it and decide whether or not I feel I can make a quality response. When I sign in to myLot the first place I check is the discussions started by my friends and choose which, if any, of them I am interested in making a response to.
Once I have done all that immediately appeals to with my friends discussions, I then start checking other discussion areas. If there is anything of interest to me and what if any discussion I feel I can contribute something to, then I will do so. On average I would estimate that I would respond to only about 30% of all the discussions that I read. Each response that I make is something that interests me and also something that I feel by responding to, I am making a contribution.

I browse the discussions started by my friends, the discussions with no responses, the top discussions, the new discussions, the disussions from my interests. Yes, I am incredibly curious and afraid of missing out on an interesting discussion, so I look... just about everywhere
Sometimes I browse the interests that I don't use very often. I often find some discussions which aren't new but still interesting to me.

I just go with whatever interests me. If I have something to say about the topic, I might as well respond.
I don't really go by what my friends choose - as I am plenty opinionated without any help from them. :D

I always start out with the 'no responses' category and see what's interesting. Then if I find that nothing is good, I go to today's top and friends started.
Usually in about a few minutes, I'd usually find something interesting that I know I could discuss or comment about.

I post to topics that are interest of me under new discussions. Or, any discussion that I see when I am on the site, if I find it interesting enough to me to post. There are so many posts made each day that there really is no need to post to topics that don't interest you. There's got to be something of interest to everyone that is on here ... unless they are totally disinterested in the site itsself.

I always choose topic from my interest category. And from my Interest category, I choose the topic that interests me. I see a lot of bored topics and if I feel responding them is pretty boring, I don't touch that topic. But I find many interesting topics which I feel great participating in. That is where mylot is great, having fun and credited with money for it. I think there is no point in responding to a topic that we are not interested in or feel boring. So first I check my interests, and within that I choose the topic that interests me.

I chose topic that had caught my interest and of course I have something in mind or had been into similar situation. Sometimes as long as I know something about the topic, I was eager to respond on it. It's really hard for me to write on a topic that I don't have much something to say.

Though I am relatively new to MyLot, having just created my profile yesterday, I, personally, am very choosey when it comes to selecting which topics to comment on. I only choose a topic if it's something that I wish to pursue a deeper knowledge in, something I'd like to get advice on, or something that I think I can contribute to by offering my opinions, my voice. If I have nothing to contribute to a topic then I believe there is no reason for me to post anything on it. I believe that posting on a topic merely to post for the sake of earnings won't only be a waste of your time since it isn't a topic you care about, but that it will also be not so beneficial to the person who began the discussion. But that's just my point of view. :)

Hello, Henchiprincess!
First of all, I go to the "My Interests" page or "Friends Started", both under discussions. Then, I start looking for discussions that I can reply positively to, discussions in which I have useful information to add or personal experiences to share. Some discussions that my friends start make me unable to respond, because I'm either uninterested on the subject or I've got no information to add. Then I just skip that and look for discussions in which I can be helpful.
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.

I'm like you, I usually go for the second option and try to provide some insight as to how I handled the situation. There are a lot of topics which I don't answer since they seem frivolous or deal with subjects I have no expertise in. I hope that some of my answers go to good use!

I have to admit am a little choosy in answering topics being posted here. I only answered those that I found realy interesting, informative and has some significant values to learn about. And like you, I answered most of those I have personal experience w/ or something I can relate w/. However, I sometimes also answered those I found less informative so long as they are funny or just something I find enjoyable to reply on.

When choosing topics to comment on, I usually select that ones whose heading catches my eye, and take it from there. If a topic has a catchy title or heading, it draws my attention and interest.
