Tax? Hmmm, when you often do transactions online, you would most probably be given with the exact amount of the item that you want to purchase as well as the shipping fees that you either have to pay, unless seller does not require buyer to shoulder the shipment fees.
Perhaps tax is already included with the item being sold as well with the shipment fees..

i think tax is not included. i saw a disclaimer one time at ebay that they will not be responsible of the tax. and that one should pay it or after 7 days if the product is not claim then it will be ship back to the seller and i will have to pay for the dues something like that.

Try and check out at your postal office, there should be a department that deals with items that come from abroad, you might also ask for the custom department. They should be able to advice you about the tax(mostly known as the custom charges) there. Most items(most especially for personal use) less that $500 might be exempted from custom charges, but you would need to confirm from them as well.
Hope that helps...

I'm in the U.S. and I've never paid taxes on anything I've bought on Ebay. My husband buys and sells a lot of things regularly on Ebay and he says that he's never paid or charged taxes either since he's not a store. The only thing you should have to pay, as far as I know, is shipping and handling.
