In your present condition it is only right that you have to obey a command as you are asking a favour, I wouldn't want to risk annoying her as I might not be able to use the computer again. My son, an adultkid does that to me often. But he still have the love and respect on me as his mother. But he is just being bossy. And I take it with an open mind.

This has happened to me once before actually and I had a very young boy become quite direct and bossy with me. It was a very short timed burst on his part and apparently he is enjoying the padded room I had him placed in very much. My advice in your own situation is to change the language settings on the computer 5 minutes before you have to vacate it every night. Pick some really obscure language like Swahili or Navaho. They will get frustrated with the cpmputer very quickly indeed if you do this and it will be yours from that point forward and forever more!

no not really but if there is only one computer and everyone has to share it you have to make compromises some where

I am bossed around by my pets and they are younger then me. I know it is not the same thing.
I am sorry you had to move back home, I hope it is temporary and you all get along.
Yes I have been in working situations where my boss is younger than I am and I have not like it at times. The two bosses I have not I like and one is 29 that is younger than my daughter, and the other one is 42.

I have to say I feel a little sorry for you about that. It isn't good for anyone who is an adult to feel they can boss anyone else around. It isn't good for any adult to feel they must be meek when ordered around unless it is by their boss.
Now, in this circumstance, we might have some circumstances to consider... like if the computer belongs to the younger sister. However, even in such a clear case we would hope that polite and civil people would still "ask" instead of "order." There can be little justification for feeling ordered off the computer if you are willing to comply with a request.
It is just tacky and rude.

That makes it easier for you. She has only marginally more right to the computer. Especially if she is old enough that she could or should be out on her own. At the end of the day, it is still your father's computer and.. thus.. the answer I would give her is, "Does Dad need his computer?"

Wow!! You have to be off the Computer by 10 p.m. because your little Sister said so? Is the computer in her room where she sleeps? If so, that is reasonable, but if not, would it not be up to your Mom and Dad since you are staying there with them? I guess to me, I would have a Family meeting set up and discuss these terms of set up and then go from there to keep further friction from happening down the road as well.
No, it is just my husband and I where I live, so no Bossing around here. I just have problems from time to time with people from work trying to be controlling is all. Wishing you the best.

Oh dear. hehe. I would be thankful in such situation to be able to share a computer! You have a very loving sister. I guess she is another computer addict a product of this new century! So it must have been a sacrifice for her to let you use her computer

Isnt that why we have kids????? to order them around and to be ordered around by them. My son does it all the time and as much as I say that he dosnt the fact is he does. The whole world spins around him :))))) He has his ways of making you do things.

Ha!ha|!ha! That could really happen sometimes. However I don't find it degrading or supression of my age advantage but rather a good example of humility.

I don't really have anyone to boss me around I live alone. My grand boys (twin's) come to visit and to spend the nights when this happens, the door bell rings and I know it is them I just close out what I am doing and politely vacate the computer because this is where they spend all their time when they are here. I can not get to my computer the whole time.

LOL. Riya... you sound like my sister. She tries to remind me that she's the older one.

LOL! Yes, when am at home and doing something on my PC, my kids ask me when am going to leave the computer and they dictate me after spending how much time, I should vacate the computer for them to work. And if I do not do it by stipulated time, am reminded again and again.......with the result I give in.
Heartiest Congratulation on Crossing 7000 mark.

Hi riyasam! I'm quite sadden by the situation you're in right now, to think that you are being ordered by your younger sister. No, I haven't been ordered by my younger siblings instead, it's me who gave orders at home to them when I was still single. But at any rate, just do a little sacrifice on your part for the harmony at home especially that you are now living with them. Good luck!
