Is Goa safe for a Christmas vacation??

Hope Everyone are aware of Bombings and massacre done by terrorists in Mumbai. And Goa being one of the favourite destinations for Christmas celebs, and just a 300kms away from Mumbai how safe is it to spend Vacation in GOA??? Has the GOVT taken very preventive measures to curb this brutalism and deployed enough security personnels to this place?? Please suggest me the other alternatives if not GOA.. Cheers...!!!

hi chiru..i am from goa..i know because of all the terrorist avtivities , goa may turn out to be the next terrorist destination...however, i had been to a beach last sunday at around 10.30 PM.. and the amount of police personals i saw would suggest that there is a great security here in goa too..also i saw a lot of foreign tourist in goa..so what i think is even after such terrorist activities people are calm and enjoying their lives.. so what i would suggest is goa is a great place to celebrate new year.. thanks happy mylotting...
