I have a question for those of you who live in south-east asia. Bathrooms often do not have toilet paper. Sometimes they have a bucket of water or a hose thing for rinsing. So,I see people go in and come out. I assume they rinse after using the toilet. But why aren't they dripping with water when they come out? Why are they all dry? What's the secret?

Hey, I see you're from Singapore! I lived in Singapore a few years ago. It was great! We lived in a condo with a pool and coconut trees and all that. I sure miss it!

I am a traveler and I don't live in South East Asia. In a hot country air dries a wet hand quickly after someone goes to the toilet. The left hand is used like toilet paper then it is washed. The person probably shakes their hand or wipes it on their clothing. I saw some hole in the ground style toilets in Indonesia and Malaysia.

I see. I thought that they used the water to wash themselves down there, not to wash their hand.
