Best response - Is it okay?

Hello friends!I want to know your opinion regarding this aspect.Is it okay to give best response for the only one who responded to the discussion you started long time ago?Whether to honour him that he atleast please you by responding is correct or not is the question.Or you shall wait some more time to see others to respond?

It is to respect your friends answering your discussions.Also,it shows you are caring to know what others had said and marking a best response shows atleast you are satisfied with all the views.You will be overjoyed getting a best response and this you will know in experience.

Giving a best response closes a discussion. If you look at the menue you will see unresolved responses. This is for all discussions that you have not finalised as in not given a best response.
Also the person who gets one also gets paid for it I think. Not sure as I have not personally checked it but others have told me. I think they also affect your reputation if you get them/give them.
Mylot likes people giving them out.

I hate leaving discussions unresolved, so yes, I do give a BR if there is only one. Besides, if there is only one it's almost always one of my friends, so there's a bonus reason.

Well sometimes I only ever get one response. However, I do not give out a bp until about a week has gone by. I try and revise it by adding responses to it. I cannot respond to every person on the day it is posted so I respond to them continually every day.
Every time you add a response or give a bp it brings the discussion back to the top of the list and sometimes people respond then.
There is nothing wrong with giving a best response to the one person who answered as you might only ever get one but never give one straight away. Give it up to a week to get other responses before giving one out.

Yes, that is okay if you want to close or resolve your discussion. This discussion reminds me of my discussions that I created few months ago; I haven’t chosen any best response on it. Too busy responding to mylotters threads/discussions.

I will wait for the best answer if non of the response is to my point directly. I like to hear people's voice, I want to know their opinions, not only mine.
