How long do you spend companying with you parents every year ?

When I was a student,my college was far away from home.The only chance I could see my parents was the summer vacation or the winter vacation.Every vacation was about a month,so I had little time to company with my parents.Now I am working in another city which is far away from my hometown,too.I go to home no more than three times a year,I want to do more thing to my parents but I can not,for i have to work.
How long do you speng companying with your parents now?

till I was stuudyign i was staying with my parents, when i got into a job i had to move around as it was a transferable job. I could visit home only once or twice a year. i lost my afterh in 1985. For a while my mom stayed with me, but then she chose to go and stay in our ancestral home. i go an dvisit her when ecver i can, but some times it is over six months as i stay over a 1000 km away. i love to spend time with mom and take care of her, but one has to earn a living too so i make the best of time available.

My mother passed away many years ago.
Dad lives with my wife and I.
I am his caregiver in his ailing helath and years.
When mom was alive they lived about 200 miles away.
I would visit them at lest once a month.
The wintertime I seldom drove to see them if the roads were bad from snow etc.
