Should Barack Obama's smoking habit really be an issue?

There are millions of Americans who smoke, one of these which includes President-Elect Barack Obama. Should he really be criticized for this? I'm sure it relieves stress (which he deals with constantly) and I'm sure other presidents had other bad habits. Why are people making a big deal about the fact that he smokes?

i think it's because he is the US president. people can't just accept that fact just like that. you can't please everyone at all, and most people wanted to criticize others than appreciate what they've done good. maybe Barack Obama just couldn't please all people and he should just accept and live with it that way.
