Mix half a cup of honey with two tablespoons olive oil. If your hair is very dry, add a third tablespoon. Section off your hair and coat it well with the mixture. Cover your hair with a shower cap so you don't mess up the entire house. In addition, the shower cap traps heat from your scalp, enabling the oils to penetrate further. Wash off after half an hour.

On the contrary, I have always found honey as an excellent conditioner. It works wonders, everytime I apply it on my hair. I feel, the fact that it turns hair white is a myth.

Hair color is determined inside the hair follicle and the color is distributed inside the center of the hair shaft as it grows out. Honey cannot penetrate the follicle or the hair shaft. So this cannot be true.

What on earth????
I have NEVER heard that... I don't see how it would - considering honey is basically just sugar in goo form.

I don't like to contradict anybody's grandma but I think she was way off on this one! LOL There is no danger of it turning your hair white and you'll love the results.
