Well even my Buster loves the tree all lit and full of presents under it. This has become a fave spot for his daytime resting. Buster says, "HAPPY HOLIDAYS ALL!" Does your pet celebrate the holiday as well? In your ways I mean.

I have been so lucky that my cat and dog don't bother the tree or the ornaments. I used to put non breakable ornaments towards the bottom just in case but never was messed with. Tell Buster HAPPY HOLIDAYS from me to him also. I think he has taken up laying there just waiting to see if any treats are put under the tree for him to open up on Christmas. hahaha

Once the sun goes down he runs to his soft, comfy bed pillow though.

Give a hug to buster for me. My saffy is still in UK. So we are going to be apart this christmas. I am doing some work in the house and buying the necessary items such as dog bed and grooming equipment for her.

Happy Holidays to Buster as well! I have a couple of my many cats that love to lay under the tree and pretend they are Christmas presents. And my beloved Meg would somehow manage to fit her pleasantly plump rump under the tree right along with them. LOL!

My cousin's dog, Buddy, likes Christmas even more than Hallowe'en. He's always the one who says when it's time to open the presents, too.

Thanks Buster. Happy holidays. I bet you love all the left overs on Christmas day the best.
My big tom cat loves My tree. One day last year I thought we had an intruder because my Christmas tree that was in my lounge was laying in my hallway completely mangled. The decorations on it where everywhere. There in the middle my cats head poped out. I thought intruders had wrecked my house for a moment until I saw the cat.
He does not live with me now but I must warn my father in-law about him and Christmas trees.
I think that all pets must love Christmas just as much as us humans do.

We don't have a traditional huge Christmas dinner actually. It will be just my wife, I and dad is all. So a Sunday type dinner is all this year. I've had cats that loved climbing and hiding in the trunks of real trees when I had them.

That was such an adorable photo, cats are wonderful.. Mine got killed when we bought this house about 10 years ago, but she was so cute playing around the tree.. She thought we put all of the balls on the tree just for her to bat around when she felt like it.. Great photo

We have three cats and two dogs. Our cats and dogs all love Christmas. One of my cats just loves it if we put up a real tree. She thinks we brought some of the outside inside just for her and will lay under the tree for hours at a time. Ever since our children were young the pets all also got a stocking as well. As soon as we put them up each year they will go over and nose around to see if Santa brought anything yet. They ususlly get a new toy and some kind of treats or special gormet cans of food. The dogs can even figure which stockings are their's. Sometimes the kids will wrap up a gift or two for them to open.

I had a half chihuahua half dachshund... He was a cute little thing, looked like a sausage instead of a hotdog. He loved Christmas. He was run at the piles of paper and dive in and grab a few pieces and then shake the heck out of them. He was such a happy dog. He passes away back in 97' though. Our next dog a half Brittany spaniel half Spitz loved the holidays too. She didn't go crazy with the paper they way our other dog did though. She loved the attention. She loved all the people and all the treats. But she just passed away yesterday. She was having seizures and loosing control of her bladder. It was very sad to watch.
Our cats always loved the holidays too. They would steal certain ornaments or swat others off the tree... no tinsel eaters though, which is a very good thing. One of our cats used to climb the tree. The cat I have now couldn't care less. She's a brat.lol

Happy Holidays looks like Buster is nice an and comfortable. So far my kitties have celebrated the holdiays by knocking the Christmas ornaments off the tree and batting them aroudn the living room. Glad I didn't put any breakable ones on there this year. I think they will get some kitty food for Chrismtas.

Our pets absolutely get into the holiday spirit. Our middle cat (Tiger Baby) loves anything that sparkles and hangs down. So we invested in a smaller tree a couple of years ago and put it up and out of her reach... so far! So nothing with bows or ribbons go under our tree until it is time to open, cause we get lots of help opening presents!! Too much fun!

My grandparents had a fat rat terrier named Judy who had her own stocking. Once that stocking was placed under the tree, NO ONE dared come near it. She would protect that stocking with her life, no matter how much she liked you any other time. She KNEW it was hers and was VERY possessive. I've never had an animal of my own who 'knew' it was Christmas or noticed anything out of the ordinary about it. But, Judy was a special dog.

I don't have any animals at this time but when I did oh how they loved being involved with all the special occasion that we all did. Enjoy your holiday may it be a special one.

What a great picture! Thank you for sharing! Obviously, Buster is waiting for you to put the camera away and leave the room. Then he's going to tear into those presents to see which are for him (anything thats food, or is good to play with). You ought to wrap up something from Hickory Farms to tease him a bit....lol.
My little chihuahua, Tukay, practically hibernates for the winter. She's waiting for spring to chase the neighbor's cats again.
