Excluding all others and basing your opinion on the man alone, why do you think Obama will return America to its former glory?

I guess because a lot of people see and feel his sincerity to lead and serve! I hope he will be able to make it and he will be vigilant in all his decisions!

Personally I don't want him to return us to anything. I don't want him to be the new FDR, JFK or BFD, I want him to be the best president BHO can be. What he does in office is completely up to him now, what Congress does is up to Pelosi, Reid and the people in Congress, what we do now is completely up to ourselves.
Between us all, let's do what we can to make the United States the best country we can make it!

I think if we're going to make this country the best it can be, we the people have got to be more aware of what's going on in Washington and voice our opinion. In one of the above responses, someone had said we need term limits for members of Congress. I agree with that. I feel career politicians are not in sync with the people. Another responder said that there are a lot of intelligent people with good ideas and those people need to be heard. I'm not sure Washington is listening and why should they when we continue to put the same people back in office whether or not they've done a good job. However, I can't see anyone in Congress voting for term limits, can you?

Probably because he wouldn't concentrate on a certain sector of society - he's a mixture of a lot of things and he'd be thinking about everybody, including everybody in his plans which would be a different way of pursuing things. He's "different".
