Okay peopl you know how going greeen is the big rage right now, and i must say it's about time...
Still people are finding it hard to do or take the time to do it so I'm going to give you a small list of things that can be done around your house to make you more environmentally frindly and heres the good part ... Save You Money and save the environment. Lets get started and please feel free to leave me your opinion on this and add to it.
#1) This is a no brainer turn your thermostat down a degree in the winter and up in the summer to save heating and cooling bills
#2) Install Compact Fluorecent light bulbs - these usually run at 1/4 or less the power of a regular bulb
#3) Unplug appliances when you're not using them - Yes they do use power even when they are off
#4) Wash your clothes in cold water whenever possible
#5) Rack dry or use a clothesline when possible
#6) Install Low Flow shower heads
#7) Install Low flow toilets
#8) Recycle technology or donate it (cell phones, computers) theymake up a huge part of our waste
#9) Buy in bulk - this reduces packaging
#10) Buy a reuseabl water bottle (aluminum or stainelss steel) and a tap water purifier
Okay theres 10 simple points you can do in no time in your house or even if you rent some of these are useful. Looking forward to hearing from you all on these

I already most of those things. I don't like the low flow toilet because I end up having to give them a second flush so I don't see how that save any water. we have the low flow shower head. and I always wash our clothes in cold water. I also use white vinegar for most cleaning instead of those chemical cleaners. I do keep the thermastate down in winter and up in summer. I have also installed reflectors films on the big patio door.

well there is an alternative to the low flow toilet and that is just displacing some water in your full size toilet to make it a "lower" flow toilet. Obviously you are far ahead of most people and what they are doing and this was more to help someone looking for basic ideas.
Kepp up the good work cause the solution is all the little things need to be done
