The last time I read my Bible was last night. I read it everynight all my own way and as I see it.
I went to church for 20 years but now I do not. I love to read it at bedtime and I am nearly finished it again for the second time.
The Bible is a great book to me.

THats really nice my friend, i am glad that thee are people here from mylot who does read the Bible. Whats your reason for no longer going to church? Its also good that we go to Bible teaching church coz we need our brothers to help us grow in love as children of God and we should be there to lift up and encourage one another.
Thank you for sharing and have a nice day!

I think it was like 7 years ago. I was quite religious and spiritual then. I've read the Bible cover to cover like several times. Still proficient with it, but memory is not that good that I can quote chapter and verse. This was during my so-called "religious" phase.
Never touched one ever since and I'm okay with that.

Hello dear Zelmarq. I think that it was a decade ago when I read the Bible seriously. I was sent an English Bible by one of my American friends when she left for another place to work. I read it with keen interest, but there are too many new words that I cannot follow. But I still keep in my book cabinet. I think that I will have more time to read it when I get retired.
Oh, yeah, my mother has one as well. It is a Chinese edition and she reads it every day both in the morning and before going to sleep at night. It had been read spoiled, and I also gave her my new Chinese version for her to read. My mother is very happy for it. My mother has also a book full of songs praising Jesus Christ. Both my parents go to the local city Church on Sunday whatever the weather it is.
Blessings.

Well that depends, are you asking the last time I read G♥d word or the actual Bible? Because I read G♥d word daily, but the Bible itself, about once or twice a week..

I hope you can find the time to read it. If you make it to read it everyday it turns out to be a habit and then a lifestle and part of your life.
Thank you for sharing and have a nice day!

The last time I actually read the bible was about two years ago. That was from cover to cover. I will occasionally sit down and read a couple of passages. I really don't feel the need to read the bible all the time.

Two years, its a long time from being away and not reading the book of God. SO from your cover to cover reading of the Bible, what have you learned? Did you understood what you read? Its more important than even the food that we eat.

Hi Zelmarq,
I am hoping to start reading my Bible on a daily basis, in the New Year. Even though I 'know' I should do so, I sometimes fall short in this area. I have some new daily devotional books, I plan on using along with my Bible. I am a regular church attender, and have been for years. I do know the importance of reading God's word. Take care.

To clarify, I plan on starting my new daily devotional in the New Year. It's a 'companion' to the Bible. I 'know' I'll be reading it before then, because I just will. I have a wonderful Pastor, and a precious church family, and they're very important to me too. Have a wonderful Christmas, and may God Bless you richly.

Why wait for the new year my friend, if you will not try o find the time to read it, you will never be able to read it. Its a good thing to read coz it guides us with our daily struggles in life and everything we have to know is there, we just have to find the time to read it and meditate on it day and night.

hi! i'd started to read the bible that was 2003 i think. when my family were in a tremendous zero-balance account, meaning we were succomb with lots of problems during those days and so what i'd thought is to ask rescue to Almighty God. thats how i started to hold bible and read line by line. My favorite chapter that time and which is very substantial and helpful was ECCLESIASTICO. I just read chapters r lines that caught my attention. But right now as me having part of community SFC for 1year, i get used to it to read scriptures, everyday. and having explained further to me every meaning of the word of God. and getting closer to God is most pleasure and helpful to me and my family and friends as well .:) thats all!
