Living in the moment.

Many people spend so much time regretting the past or worrying about the future, that they forget to live in the now. Life is not about when you get married, move to a new house, start a new job, or even about when you retire.Your life is right now and will always be right now.Start enjoying your life now because it's the only time you have. The moment of your birth was now and the same will be true for the moment of your death. Remember yesterday is gone and tomorrow never comes, but each moment well lived makes every yesterday a memory of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope. Think about it.

Sometimes we are so concern about what we don't have instead
of appreciating what we have. The bigger things in life are
the smaller things in life. Just going out with your family
to eat ice cream could end up to be one of the happiest moments
in someone's life.

hi pose!
that is so right. yup! there is nothing positive actually when we just wallow in regret or worry about the future. both instances are things that we could not do anything about. the past already happened. we should learn from our mistakes there and get on with life, using our learnings.
as for the future, there is nothing wrong with preparing, but not worrying. worrying will not add another day to our lives--this will rather shorten our lives and reduce our joy.
let us live in the present and make do with arranging our day so that we have nothing to regret about when it becomes the past, and that we have nothing to worry about in the future.
take care and God bless you!
merry christmas!

"Each moment well lived makes every yesterday a memory of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope."
Hello Pose. The above is well said and I completely agree with it.
Yesterday is part of the history while tomorrow is still unknown and full of uncertainty. Only today is the most practical to us all. Thus we must make today a nice and fulfilling day out of this practice. Thank you for the nice idea, friend.

That why it is called the present! However, I have so many good memories to recall in the past! On the other hand, lots of people yearn for a better and bright future, me included!

Hi hiddenwing, Thank you for that comment. Living in the present doesn't mean we can't enjoy our good memories, I do it all the time. It refers to not wasting our time regretting the things we did in our past. Hoping for a bright future is also much better than worrying about the bad things that may happen. Blessings.

Hey, pose123, i couldn't agree more. Wonderful words. Two of my friends have long distance relationship, and the boy loves the girl deeply, but the girl however, is worring about their future, will they marry? will their parents oppose? will they have enough money to live, will their love remain the same after years. we can't plan all these.

I definitely believe in living in the present. You can't change yesterday, so why waste time regretting it. You can't get to tomorrow without living now, so why worry about what might or might not happen in the future. I'm not against planning, but don't get so wrapped up in tomorrow that you miss today.

The idea seems so easy, yet I often have to stop and remind myself what is important, what is relevant to the now. And even though it is hard at first not to get ahead of myself, over time I've learned to appreciate what I have now. Who is in my life now. And it is just a more peaceful way to live.

Thanks for the nice reminder, Pose123. I try very hard to live in the moment and remember my time is now. I allow myself time to think and worry about the future, and then when that time is up I must return to the now. It works most of the time.

I disagree with you.Because i am a third-year high student that should plan a target. If i enjoy my life now that i will lost many things. In different time, peoples can set up a target for themself when they complete it,they should enjoy their life at that time.
