I'm going to give you a break because you are young. Learn the laws of the U.S. It will make your arguments better because you'll know what you're talking about.

He's young and male. At that age their brains are starting to settle elsewhere. Let's just say it isn't in their heads anymore.

17 is not that young. I graduated high school at 17. That was only four years ago. Being 17 isn't a very good excuse for being uninformed.

Brings back abortion? Abortion has been legal in most of the country since 1973. I know that some individual states have outlawed it, in which case, I certainly do hope that the new administration takes steps to see to it that women's rights are upheld in those states as well. Thanks for sharing your opinion, by the way. It's always nice when someone points out that more than half the nation is stupid. Yu must be reel smart.

You're right, mcfakey, you probably won't get your 15 responses now. Maybe you and your friends should go play in the street or something.

Abortion is still legal, and because it's legal, it's not murder. If you're going to piss and moan about Obama being elected, you might want to come up with an argument that actually makes sense.

The definition of murder is unlawfully killing someone. Abortion isn't illegal, and therefore it isn't murder. If tomorrow we made it legal to kill anyone we want, then killing someone wouldn't be murder, because it's legal.

If he considers it murder, then for him that's what it is. Mcfuddy, you can't be the conscience for anyone but yourself. Is abortion terrible? Yes, but its been around for centuries and will continue to be around. In most cases there is a better answer but it is not your answer to give.

play so its not murder to kill little babies bc the law says its okay? so with that logic make the act of killing someone legal bc then its legal its not murder right?

My feelings about abortion aside, it is in fact legal, everywhere. Although roe v wade is a constitutional travesty and a violation of the 10th amendment, it is considered law of the land and made abortion legal in every state. I saw where you brought up the rights of the father in such cases and I couldn't agrea more. It is very lopsided, but then again, so are most laws reguarding father's right's or lack-there-of.

It's a pretty deep and personal issue for me, I won't go in to details but suffice it to say, the law is mechanical and horridly unjust, reguarding support in most states. It's a gestapo operation with no feelings or room for common sense.

Both should make these decisions, I agree. I also believe that once done the father should take responsibility. Too many excuses of "I didn't want the kid". You bring up father's rights and I agree that the laws are lacking but there are fathers with rights that probably shouldn't have them. I'm fairly certain a good majority of fathers who are supposed to be paying child support aren't and a certain portion of them complain if their rights are violated. I've learned to have more respect for the deadbeat parent that just goes away instead of staying to mess with the kid's head.

There's always two sides to every coin and I'd be willing to bet that my side of it is the mirror opposite of yours. The father of my three older children is a true deadbeat dad...worked for his brother for cash so I never got a dime in financial assistance from him in 17 years. He only saw his kids when I made the effort to personally deliver them to him, because having a relationship with him was best for their emotional health. Unfortunately, his self absorption continues to this day and they have no respect for him now that they're adults because he ignores his grandchildren the same way that he ignored them. I agree with you that many men get screwed...I personally know, and am related to, some who are being taken advantage of...but women get screwed, too.

Since you've already had it pointed out to you that abortion has been legal throughout Bush's Presidency so it's not going to be "brought back" by Obama I decided to instead concentrate my response on your "stupid" comment. Using Obama's middle name, albeit misspelled, instead of his first name doesn't prove you to be extremely intelligent, now does it? However, my point here isn't to call you names or insult your intelligence and it's already been pointed out that you're very young so I'll cut you a small amount of slack for that. Your idea of calling everyone who voted for Obama "stupid" is one of the reasons he won by such a huge margin. The McCain campaign, more specifically McCain's running mate Sarah Palin, used division to rally their own base by implying those of us who didn't support them weren't really Americans. That backfired on them! The truth is we're all Americans and all parts of the United States are part of the "real America", red states and blue states alike and there are stupid Americans everywhere regardless of geography or ideology. Fortunately there are more Americans who are good and decent and not stupid regardless of for whom they voted! Annie

first i think that McCain's VP choice was terrible that McCain ran a horrible race and that he wasn't a good candidate but secondly i think McCain was the better choice sorry i cant spell his name properly i didn't know that would be brought up in this political debate i do not think that obama is a good choice but i do think he ran a great campaign and i expect his promises to be fulfilled but i don't think it'll happen

I read a bit about American politics leading up to election time in the USA. So Obama got in and I know a few things about what he believes. He supported letting live aborted babies die. I read a book called Gianna about a lady that was born during an abortion when her mother was 7 and a half months pregnant. I would never have an abortion myself but if abortion is legal I respect other people's choices to do that. I think abortion is bad for the baby and might give the mother depression later if life. I wonder if any abortions would take place if nobody wanted to be an abortionist. Sadly money means a lot so such a nasty person that aborts ladies babies. A person that voted might have believed in most not all Obama supports. No politician is perfect and some are worse than others.
