There are a lot of people here on myLot helping each other with all kinds of things. That's because we all seem to know about something unusual which comes in handy sometimes. I, for example, can speak Spanish, translate morse code, develop PHP, Qbasic, and Freebasic, and I know a lot about the history of computers and communications technology. These are all niche subjects, but they come up from time to time (more than you'd expect). So, what subjects are you an expert in?

Where do you use your morse code expertise? I'm very curious. I'm an expert on SQL Server db. But that doesn't help me much here since I don't come across such problems. I'm also fairly good with computers - how to know what's wrong with it and how to make it work - and who to ask if I'm lost :) Aside from that, I have a natural talent on "psychology" I guess. I seem to understand the feelings of people which helps me respond to personal questions rationally (that might not make sense but it helps :P). I'm also an expert on making issues out of mundane things - like how to rid my place of roaches. I learned a lot from the posts here in myLot and even blogged about what I learned. Oh so I guess I'm also an expert on blogging and on rambling (obviously).
Thanks for the comment on my discussion!

You sound like a fascinating guy, ThePaintGuru. If I'm being completely honest, I don't believe I am an expert at anything. I could have some intelligent conversations about economics, finance, education theory and practice, pottery and portions of the art world to name a few but an expert ~ I think not.
I suppose that I know more about my son and how to make him happy and fulfilled than anyone else in the world. Can I claim to be an expert in my son?
I'm curious what your username means. Are you a paint expert?
