I don't think that the book requires a religion. First of all, it's fiction and entertainment for people who read it. Your statement sounded as if those people who question and try to ban Lord Of The Rings, Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons, and Harry Potter. Those are just fictions which are also, apparently, very good read. There's is no religion requirement or qualifications to enjoy a good book.

I had watched and at the same time read Twilight. Well you are right, anything that we are acquiring through reading books or watching movies we should always be an open-minded person.
Upon watching the movie, I appreciate it, but I just realized that the story in the book was different in the movie. It made me remembered of the movie The Vinci Code.Well sometimes we need to be careful in acquiring different beliefs that those movies are offereng us. But ofcoures, we need not not let go of our faith to God.After all, we were the one who are incharge if we believe on such or not.

What is the problem of reading the twilight series? I found no offensive in the books of Meyer. It is just a love story of a vampire and a human. Well, I agree that we should be cautious and picky on the things we put in our mind. But think of this, how would we know about bad and good, if we don't feed our minds about it. It is all about being reasonable and knowing on what to believe in. It is just fiction. There is nothing wrong about the book. Maybe, your faith is the one that is questionable. But I am just assuming on that part. I am a Christian too. And I think, really think, that the book series is not something detrimental to the minds of the readers.
Have a nice day.
