Now I know times are really tough, we are barely making it ourselves. I was thinking what to do with family that's out of town. I've been posting some Avon specials on Craig's list in my area hoping I would get some new customers. I can't give special deals for orders that are direct shipped from the net. Hhhhmmm what to do. Ok I got this idea, Avon offers free shipping on orders of $30.00, direct shipped from the web. SO I posted an ad giving a 10% shopping credit from direct shipped orders online to be used with a Local Delivery order. In other words, order from my Avon site online and direct ship it to someone, then get a 10% credit towards a local delivery order. That is one I will deliver. For my far away customers whom I can't deliver to I would send the 10% via paypal as a gift. My question, would the free shipping plus a 10% credit to shop for yourself be enough to entice you to shop on my Avon site? If not what would you offer?

Personally if I didn't already have 3 friends fighting over me to order from them I would buy from you with or with out the 10% credit. Once down there for good I'll buy Avon from you and hopefully once in a job I'll be able to bring in your books and get more orders.

Honestly, I think it will only entice those who already enjoy buying Avon, so you may not end up getting any customers with that deal than you'd get without the deal, you know what I mean? Besides that, if all they want is 1 gift for 1 person, then the deal isn't going to help them at all unless you'll let them use the discount at another time, like next month when they want something for themselves.

Yep I would do that. I didn't really specify when they had to use it. Good point, maybe when I post tonight I will give a time like 90 days or something to use the credit.

Sounds like a good promotion. I know they have some good things. I bet I have to pay a 25% import tax to get avon here in Mexico? :)

I'm not sure about the shipping outside the USA. You can go here to read about it http://www.mx.avon.com
