i like both though...it should not be compared...because it has different stories! harry potter is more like magical..for kids really while twilight is more on teen love..and serious...so both are great stories and movies

Hmm...how to choose it... I like both of them. Harry Potter more interesting to reand. But the concept Twillight saga is more beautifull.

if you are referring to the book..i think that harry potter has more depth although twilight may be lighter but it is more appealing in a naive and simple way...it is difficult to compare them..hp is more on magic and adventure while twilight is more on romance and ordinary teenage life but with an esoteric twist bec of the vampire element...if we are to look at the movie versions..hp has more action and wider scope but twilight has a more beautiful concept of life and love....plus the fact that the actors in twilight are more interesting and more charming...so sorry daniel radcliffe..you are cute but robert pattinson is intensely more handsome in looks and talent than you..

It's pretty hard to compare both movies because they really belongs to two different genre. Even though they are both based on books originally written for young adults, that is the only similarity. Harry Potter is more of an adventure, following the life of the young wizard as he battles against the evil Voldermort while growing into manhood and all the challenges that entails. Twilight is a teenage romance between a young girl and a century old vampire who looks seventeen. Even though there is some action in the latter part of the movie, it focuses primarily on the budding relationship between the two. So, it really depends upon you and what is your taste in movies. If you are eclectic like me, I'll watch both. As for the books, I'm a big Harry Potter fan, and I've read all the Twilight books. I think the Twilight book is decent, but if you are not into cheesy, romantic stuff, then maybe it won't be for you. However, I prefer JK Rowling's writing over Stephanie Meyer's because I can feel Harry Potter is more complex and has more depth. Although Meyer is no slouched in pulling you in, making you want to find out what happens. Still I think her work could do some better editing.

Sir, how about you? which one do you prefer? I can't make a fair choice cause I haven't read the books or even seen the movie yet. I just got hold of the ebooks and not sure when I'll find the time to read it. As for the potter series, I liked both the books and the films!

That's an extremely hard choice for me. But I am going to choose Harry Potter, because it's been around longer and I am a hardcore Harry Potter superfan.
