I feel the obligation to start this discussion because my heart feels like exploding when I received the message from a friend.
This is true story of a 6-year old girl who was a product of rape, consequently, she lived a life of unhappiness brought about by the cruelty of the mother who just can't love her; the child became her reminder of such horrible event. Until the time came that during the recent birthday of the mother, she made a realization that maybe it's the right time to start loving her daughter. She went to the child's room only to find out that the child hung herself dead leaving a note for her mother: "Mom, you have been telling me that the happiest moment in your life will be the time when I'll be dead..here is my Birthday gift to you because I LOVE YOU Mother..."
Don't you think it's way too late to love?...Life is so short!

OMG that is a a sad sad story, I think we all should wake up to the fact that life is short and we are either going to die young or live through losing a lot of people so we should make the most of what we have, love the people in our lives and don't put letting them know off until tomorrow because none of us know if we have a tomorrow.

That has got to be one of the saddest stories I've read. Her mother should be shot for this, but, I guess a lifetime of paralizing guilt will suffice.

Oh! I almost cried when I read the last part of your post. It's so sad. I can say it's really too late for her mother to realized that she love her daughter. It only reminds us that no matter how imperfect our love ones, we should really show them love and care because we don't know what happens ahead. We don't own the heart and mind of everyone. Sometimes we tend to hurt them unintentionally. And most often we are insensitive of their feelings. That we don't care about how they take things in life. I hope this post will touch everyone's heart and let's all start showing our unexpressed love to someone we love so dear. So that we will not regret it all our life.

What a horrible story! So sad that a mother can't love her child, as you can see here it's horrible for the child to grow up like that, nobody would be able to handle it! Such a shame that the mother could only after so many years realize she could really love the child! I do understand that it's hard for her mother too though, always when she sees her daughter, she's reminded of what happened, I believe it's quite hard too. But still, I thought love from a mother would be able to conquer these negative feelings, not link them to the child.
