Why are tramps found on the streets always men not women? Or is it just me?....

I live in the UK. And although their arent that many homeless people in the UK, their seems to be a pattern, why is it that their are more homeless men then women????!!....

We have a lot of tramps where I live and there's only one that's a woman. Maybe hostals and housing places feel sorry for women more than men.
