Have any of you heard about this??? I just read this article on Auction Insites about how Etsy sends out FBI Cyber Crime reporting forms to buyers at the first hint of a complaint.
One seller who lives in Australia had a buyer in the US who complained because she didn't received her item after a one and a half weeks after payment... it was being shipped from Australia... of course she hadn't received it yet and instead of contacting the seller first they sent out an FBI Cyber Crime form to the buyer?!?!
Then another seller had a buyer back out of a sale so she refunded the money immediatly and she never marked the item as shipped. So two months later without a word from the buyer Etsy apparently sent an email stating that she never shipped the item so they sent out the FBI Cyber Crime form and if it was not resolved she would be suspended, she responded to them as requested and then two days later she gets the suspension warning again; the seller contacted the buyer to make sure she was happy how things were handled, and she said yes she received her refund right away, was pleased how things were handled and had never even said a word to Etsy?!?!
I was thinking of creating somethings and selling on Etsy but am now a little skiddish. Has anyone heard anything else about this? The article is on AuctionInsights . info and is titled 'Sellers at Etsy . com Are Even More Unhappy Than Sellers on eBay'

I have never heard anything about this, but I'll be looking up the article and forwarding it to Etsy for a comment from them.
I've been selling on the site for more than a year and have never had any trouble. I ship my packages with delivery confirmation.
There will always be scammers on internet sites, it's just something every has to deal with. Etsy does a great job ridding themselves of scammers/sellers and are quick to act if a buyer doesn't pay.
Create away...I've found Etsy to be a great community of crafters and artists!
