creating new dicussions-- help boost my imagination

I've been wracking my poor pathetic brain for dicussion ideas for several days now. Usually I get ideas while responding to other posts. But the past couple of days i've been struggling.
So I wondering how long of my fellow mylotters have you gone with out posting a dicussion?
and where do you get your best ideas?

I normally either see what posts have not been done in over a year, or i will read other discussions to see if i get a good idea about what to post.
